We have recently been inundated with requests for estimates and/or repairs based on other shops, "master mechanics", dealerships, google search etc. It is our policy that we do not do estimates (other than brakes) nor a repair based on anything but our own diagnostics. I believe due to the social culture out there that people are wary of this, thinking it is just a money grab. Our time is valuable so yes it does come with a cost and accurate diagnostics are imperative to save our customers money. We could go on all day with the multitude of stories about other shops, mechanics, dealerships, etc that have misdiagnosed and due to this we have saved our customers money.....anywhere from 3 shops telling one that he needed a new alternator to the tune of $800 and all it needed was battery cables cleaned, to replacing a motor that multiple mechanics shops said and it was a $25 part. The relationship with our clientele is based on trust and longevity, not a one and done. So if this isn't what you are looking for in a mechanic then we wouldn't be a good fit. Please keep this in mind when contemplating our services. And please feel free to read over our pinned post so you are familiar with our policies. We base our business practice off of honesty, integrity, experience, knowledge and affordability not upon others diagnostics. Just food for thought....if you trusted someone else enough to do the diagnostic then it is confusing to try to understand why they aren't doing the work. Thank you for understanding that this policy is for both your pocketbook protection and our not wanting to waste time for either of us.
