The BMW M4 GTS (F82) is a hardcore, track-focused, limited-production version of the standard M4. Released for the 2016 model year, BMW only built 700 units worldwide.
The Headlines
Water Injection System: Its defining feature. It sprayed a fine mist of distilled water into the intake plenum to lower air charge temperatures, allowing the S55 twin-turbo inline-six to safely push 493 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque (a 16% bump over the base M4).
Track Hardware: It came from the factory with a manually adjustable 3-way coilover suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes, an adjustable carbon fiber front splitter/rear wing, and lightweight Acid Orange wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubber.
Weight Reduction: To shed roughly 60 lbs, BMW deleted the rear seats, added a factory roll cage, installed lightweight carbon-fiber bucket seats (non-US models), and fitted a titanium exhaust system.
It was notoriously stiff on normal roads, but it clocked a 7:28 Nürburgring lap time, putting it squarely in supercar territory for its era.

A/C Ev***rator was leaking pretty bad on this 2010 BMW 128i.
As you can see here, its not an easy job and very labor intensive.
Full dash, center console and HVAC box removed the back together.
This is fairly common problem on several different chassis. Takes about a week to complete this job.

❄️ Acting as the primary heat exchanger within the IHKA (automatic climate control) housing, the ev***rator drops cabin temperatures by utilizing low-pressure, low-temperature liquid refrigerant to absorb thermal energy from incoming air.
As ambient air passes over its aluminum fins, state-change physics convert the refrigerant into a low-pressure v***r. This process simultaneously pulls latent moisture from the air for cabin dehumidification and condensation management.
Engineered with a dedicated ev***rator temperature sensor, the vehicle’s DME/IHKA modules dynamically adjust compressor displacement to keep core temperatures strictly above 34 degrees preventing surface icing and maintaining optimal volumetric airflow.

Cooling system overhaul, brakes and control arm bushings on a classic BMW E46.
Very common issues and repairs for this chassis.

2006 BMW 330I getting its first clutch and flywheel replaced at 240k miles!
There is something to be said for the build quality on these older models.
Keep them as long as you can, with proper maintenance they can last a LONG time!
