Dirk said it better than I could. Thank you, Dirk.

Most people have been burned by a repair shop at least once: the surprise bill, the vague explanation, the feeling you got talked into something.

That is exactly why we built Sunset Diesel the way we did.
Our mission is simple: Honesty and Quality with Customer Service, Every Time.
We tell you what your vehicle needs, what can wait, and what it costs before any work starts.

Here is what we take care of for gas and diesel vehicles:
• Oil changes and tire rotations
• Air and cabin filter replacement
• General repairs and maintenance
• Diesel diagnostics and repair
• Pickup and delivery near Washington

We proudly serve Washington, Kalona, Fairfield, and the surrounding communities.

Your vehicle shouldn't leave the repair shop with you wondering if it was actually fixed right.

Behind every vehicle that leaves our shop is a team of real people who take pride in figuring out the problem, repairing it correctly, and treating our customers with honesty and integrity.

We're not interested in selling you repairs you don't need.

We're interested in becoming the shop you can call when something goes wrong and know you're going to get a straight answer.

That's what we're building every day at Sunset Diesel Automotive Repair.
