🎣 Kids Fishing Club Fall Enrollment is OPEN!
Apparently, we weren’t quite ready to put the fishing rods away after summer camp.
This fall, the Kids Fishing Club is back for a six-week Saturday program designed for young anglers ages 12–16 who want to spend more time fishing, build real skills and learn more about what goes into becoming a better angler.
Each Saturday from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, we’ll combine fishing on the Potomac with hands-on learning at the DC Tackle Shop at The Yards, our home base for the program.
We’ll cover everything from casting, knots, rigging and tackle selection to fish behavior, river conditions, boating safety and fishing strategy. All rods, reels, bait, tackle and safety equipment are provided.
And we’re keeping this one small.
We’re initially opening just 6 spots so we can provide plenty of individual instruction and time with a rod in each kid’s hands.
💰 Tuition: $1,200 for all six weeks

The Monster Catfish are Calling! 🎣
The Potomac is heating up (66°F and climbing!) and the fish are biting! 🌡️ From shad and carp to absolute BEASTS of flathead catfish, we’ve been keeping the deck busy all week.
Huge shoutout to CJ “Crabdaddy” and our recent crew from Boston for landing some legendary catches—including a 50lb+ monster that looked like it swallowed a bowling ball! 🎳🐟
