Reqiurements
Must have basic knowledge modern vehicle systems
Must provide your own tools
Must have reliable transportation to and from work
Auto Repair in a professional shop: 3 years (Preferred)
Driver's License (Preferred)
ASE Certification (Preferred)
VA State Safety Inspection Certification (Preferred)
Our automotive shop is looking for an Automotive Mechanic who is committed, takes great pride in their work, and has a passion for customer service. The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 2 years of experience repairing automobiles as well as an eye for detail and a sense of urgency. We're looking for a candidate who enjoys working with their hands and will take the time to understand each client's unique needs.
Responsibilities:
-Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
-Inspecting vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
-Conducting routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
-Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on good vehicle use
-Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)
-Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job
-Keep logs on work and issues
-Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
Last but far from least be a DEPENDABLE individual.
