We believe that strong businesses build strong communities. That’s why we are incredibly proud to expand our summer internship program and welcome a second local student to our team this year! There is nothing better than hands-on learning, and we can't wait to see what both of our interns accomplish this summer.

Spotlight on the Intern:
Landon Reed; Automotive Tech Intern, Coast Auto Repair

Exploring career possibilities through hands-on experience is what Summer 2026 internships are all about—and today we're excited to spotlight Landon Reed!
A student at Astoria High School who will be a senior this fall, Landon is spending his summer as an Automotive Tech Intern with Coast Auto Repair in Warrenton. His internship is giving him the opportunity to explore one of several career paths he's considering while building valuable technical and workplace skills.

"I would like to be a forestry engineer, but I am also interested in automotive or construction, and now that we had the career session in maritime, I also want to explore engineering work in maritime."

Throughout the summer, Landon is gaining firsthand experience in a professional automotive repair shop, learning from skilled technicians, and developing practical skills that will benefit him no matter which career path he ultimately chooses. By working alongside experienced professionals, he's discovering what it takes to succeed in the automotive industry while exploring whether it's the right fit for his future.

Internships like this give students the chance to "try on" a career before making important education and career decisions, helping them connect classroom learning with real-world experience.
We're grateful to Coast Auto Repair for investing in the next generation of skilled professionals by providing meaningful career-connected learning opportunities. We wish Landon continued success as he explores his interests, builds new skills, and discovers where his future will take him! Astoria School District Coast Auto Repair

We are so happy to be a part of this amazing program! A huge thank you to Misty for making this all possible. We are incredibly excited to help teach and mentor the next generation of automotive technicians. Welcome to the shop, Adrian! 🛠️🚘

Spotlight on the Intern:
Adrian Diaz Dolores; Automotive Tech Intern, Coast Auto Repair

Hard work, curiosity, and real-world experience are a winning combination—and today we're excited to highlight another outstanding Summer 2026 intern, Adrian Diaz Dolores!

A recent graduate of Astoria High School, Adrian is spending his summer as an Automotive Tech Intern with Coast Auto Repair of Warrenton, where he's gaining valuable hands-on experience while exploring the career he's passionate about pursuing.
“I wish to pursue an internship in automotive, it is the passion that will lead me into my future. I'm taking full advantage of my internship, the best part is the insight on the daily life of a technician and seeing firsthand what it means to be in this career.”

Throughout his internship, Adrian is developing practical automotive repair skills while learning what it takes to succeed in a professional shop environment. Each day brings new opportunities to build confidence, expand his knowledge, and prepare for the next step in his career.

This fall, Adrian will attend Portland Community College's automotive program to continue his education and work toward a career as an automotive technician. His internship is providing a strong foundation that will help him transition from the classroom to the workforce.

We're proud to partner with local businesses like Coast Auto Repair of Warrenton to provide meaningful career-connected learning experiences for students like Adrian. We wish him continued success as he turns his passion into a rewarding career and look forward to seeing all he accomplishes!

🎓 Honored to support the class of 2026! 🎓

This year marked our very first time donating a scholarship to a deserving Warrenton High School senior, and we couldn't be prouder to support the local youth. A huge thank you to the staff and community at Warrenton High for helping us make this happen.

This is just the beginning, we look forward to continuing this tradition and supporting Warrior seniors for many years to come! 💜💛
