Happy Friday everyone, just wanted to let you know that the Wrecking Yard will be closed on Monday, September 7th, for Labor Day and we will back to regular business hours on Tuesday, the 8th. We hope you all have a wonderful & safe weekend!

Wapato Flood Update & Road Closures

WAPATO, WA – Residents are advised of ongoing flooding conditions and significant road closures in the Wapato area. The public is urged to avoid flooded roadways and seek alternate routes.

Current Road Closures

* Donald Wapato Bridge / Donald Road: This road is closed between E A Street and I-82 due to water over the roadway and will remain closed until further notice.

* Parker Bridge / Parker Bridge Road: This location is also closed to traffic due to flooding conditions.
Detours to Wapato are available via Union Gap or Toppen*sh, traveling east of the Yakima River.

For general questions, information regarding evacuations, or non-emergency assistance related to the current flooding situation, please contact the Yakima County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) at 509-574-1926.

WAPATO, WA – Se informa a los residentes sobre las inundaciones en curso y los importantes cierres de carreteras en el área de Wapato. Se recomienda al público evitar las carreteras inundadas y buscar rutas alternativas.

Cierres de carreteras actuales

* Puente Donald Wapato / Carretera Donald: Esta carretera está cerrada entre la calle E A y la I-82 debido a la presencia de agua en la calzada y permanecerá cerrada hasta nuevo aviso.

* Puente Parker / Carretera Parker Bridge: Esta ubicación también está cerrada al tráfico debido a las inundaciones. Hay desvíos disponibles hacia Wapato a través de Union Gap o Toppen*sh, viajando al este del río Yakima.
