A sincere and heartfelt thank you to all participants and first responders who attended the procession yesterday for James Joseph Brooks. We are overwhelmed with your showing of support, kindness and the solidarity that brought the first responder community together. You all are amazing!
James was one of a kind. As Brandon said yesterday, he did the work of three men and had the heart of ten men. Everyone who met him was impressed with his work ethic and great attitude. He will forever be missed and remembered with our deep love for him.
To all who participated in the service yesterday, it was simply perfect and honored him greatly.
We can never put into words how grateful we are to all.

Donations for James Brooks can be deposited at CBBC bank starting later today. Also donations can be given directly to memorial funeral home in his name. We are so thankful for the community coming together in this tragedy.
He will forever be in our hearts.

Edit to add: Celebration of life will be held at 2:00 Saturday November 8 at Rio Revolution Church at 3419 E. Lamar Alexander Parkway, Maryville, TN 37804. Participating first responders and others will meet at 1:00 at Justice Center.
Anyone who wants to donate on behalf of James can give directly to Memorial funeral home or to an account at CBBC bank.

Yesterday we lost not only an employee, but a friend and a loved one. He was an angel from God, and God allowed us to have him in our lives a few short years. He was a precious soul and a helper to anyone he met. He can never be replaced. His loyalty and love to our family and company was absolute. He loved being a part of the first responders community. The people he came into contact with on the job immediately loved him as well and often remarked what a fine young man he was. Today, we know he is with Jesus, but our hearts ache missing him. We appreciate all emergency response people, Alcoa police, and all the citizens who helped on the scene. A special thank you to those who were on the scene before emergency personnel and came to his aid. He will forever be in our hearts. Please continue praying for the family.

Rest in peace, our sweet, sweet friend and loved one, James Brooks.
