Got the oil pan for the final welded, the fl**ge machined flat, and the internal baffles riveted in. Sand blasted it to creat a more “cast” finish to match the rest of the motor parts.

Getting some more tubes done on Black Pearl tube chassis. Next up is some roof treatment.

Customer wanted a little more protection for their Springer Van Winnebago. They brought in an Expedition One, LLC bumper and wanted some tube work added to it and the driving light holes covered but not deleted. Couple bolt in filler plates and some fun bends got it sitting the way the customer envisioned.

Today’s project. LS swap in a 40 Chevy coupe. Same rig we did a 4 link and C notch kit on, as well as Mustang II front suspension on previously. It’s not always offroad rigs over here. Sometimes we branch out into lowriders.

Finally got the flipped over, suspension all mounted, axles hung, and immediately put it up on jack stands to pull the springs apart. It sits way to high. Yes it has no drivetrain, interior, glass, roll cage, or fuel system in it, but it’s about 4-5” higher than desired. Going to take a couple leafs out and see where that gets us.

Crazy to think this rig was started 4 years ago. Lots of cool parts and fabrication went into making this thing one of a kind.

Finally got the sliders for this tj back from powder coat. Went with a light texture to match the fender flares. Trimmed the door guards to fit with the sliders.

Getting the shop trailer ready for finish weld and paint. Whipped up a rotisserie to make access to the underside way easier.

In an effort to make this project longer and more difficult than need be, the oil pan was next up on the chopping block for the . More capacity, and better offroad performance was what we were after. A custom aluminum oil pan with internal baffles, trap doors, and nearly a quart more capacity was the answer. Need to check clearances and get a drain plug then finish weld the whole thing.
