RENEWALS END TODAY!

Walhonding Hills Campers — TODAY, Sunday, October 18, is your LAST DAY to secure your existing seasonal lot for 2027!

We've extended our office hours until 7 PM today to help everyone complete their renewals.

✅ Stop by the office to make your payment and sign your 2027 lease.
✅ Pay in full today and have your offseason storage fee waived, or secure your lot with a 50% deposit. Full details are in our latest newsletter.

🚛 PUMP-OUTS & WINTERIZATION

Our team will begin end-of-season pump-outs later today to help campers prepare for winterization. We'll be working through the campground over multiple days, so please allow our team time to reach your lot.

🏕️🍂 WALHONDING HILLS | IMPORTANT END-OF-SEASON REMINDERS!

As we wind down our first season together, we want to thank our incredible campers and team for a great year! A few important reminders as we prepare towards the offseason and look ahead to 2027:

🏕️ 2027 SEASONAL RENEWALS: The deadline to secure your existing legacy lot is Sunday, October 18, by the close of office hours. Please stop by the office to complete your renewal and sign your lease. Full details are in our latest newsletter, dropping today.

🚛 PUMP-OUTS & WINTERIZATION: Our team will begin pump-outs Sunday, October 18, to help campers prepare for winterization. Please allow time for our team to make its rounds. With so many campers to serve, this process will take more than one day. We appreciate your patience!

💧 WATER SERVICE: Water will remain available through Sunday, October 18, and will be shut off thereafter. Our boil advisory remains in effect until Ohio EPA authorizes it to be lifted. MEaningful work will be completed in the offseason.

🕒 UPDATED OFFICE HOURS: Beginning October 19, we'll be closed Monday–Wednesday. Thursday 1–5 PM, Friday 1–9 PM, Saturday 10 AM–7 PM, and Sunday 10 AM–2 PM.

🍁 EXTENDED FALL ACCESS: Seasonal campers may continue enjoying their sites through December 6, with departure permitted the morning of Monday, December 7.

🦌 HUNTING REMINDER: Hunting is not permitted on campground property. Campers are welcome to stay at their sites while hunting on permitted property elsewhere.

We've learned a lot, made meaningful improvements, and have plenty more planned. We're grateful for your patience, feedback, and partnership as we continue building a safer, healthier, family-friendly campground at a great value.

🎃 PUMPKIN ROLL WEEKEND IS HERE! 👻

We’re excited to see everyone Saturday, October 10th for a full day of Halloween fun at Walhonding Hills!

🎃 Pumpkin Roll — 1:00 PM
📍 Upper Pumphouse — between the 00’s & 400’s
Age groups will roll in order: 0–4 | 5–9 | 10–14 | 15–17 | 18+
Bring your own pumpkin, write your name and lot number on it, and please help us clean up afterward.

👻 Trick-or-Treat Trailer Ride — 5:00–7:00 PM
🚜 Participating trailers: Meet at the Buggy Barn at 4:30 PM. We roll at 5:00!

🍬 Campers: stock up on candy! The ride will travel through the 100’s, 200’s, 300’s and 00’s, giving our kiddos a chance to trick-or-treat around the campground.

IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDER: From 5:00–7:00 PM, please keep campground roads clear for our trailers and kiddos. We ask everyone who is not participating in the ride to stay off the roads with vehicles, ATVs and UTVs during this time. Thank you for helping us make this a fun and safe evening for our kids.

Secure your seasonal site by paying your 2027 rent in full and having the offseason maintenance/storage fee waived, or by paying a 50% deposit, with the balance due Opening Weekend 2027.

🎃👻 Pumpkin Roll & Trick-or-Treat Hayride – Saturday, October 10! 👻🎃

One of our favorite weekends of the season is almost here, and we can't wait to celebrate Halloween with our Walhonding Hills families!

🎃 Pumpkin Roll

👻 Kiddo Trick-or-Treat Hayride

🚜 Campers with trailers: Meet at the Buggy Barn at 4:30 PM

🎃 Hayride Parade: 5:00–7:00 PM

The parade will travel through the 100's, 200's, 300's, and 00's, giving our campers a chance to hand out candy and help create an unforgettable Halloween for all of our kiddos.

🍬 Stock up on candy and join the fun!

🏕️ A few end-of-season reminders:

🚰 As a reminder, the campground remains under a boil advisory for the remainder of the season. We've identified the source of the issue and will complete the remaining repairs during the offseason to ensure a healthier and more reliable water system for 2027.

This has been a season filled with learning, growth, and meaningful improvements. We sincerely appreciate your patience, your feedback, and the opportunity to be part of your family's camping traditions.

Let's finish the season the Walhonding way, with great neighbors, great families, and a whole lot of Halloween fun.

As we enjoy the final day of Labor Day Weekend, we want to thank all of our campers, families, and friends for spending it with us at Walhonding Hills.

Today is a day to recognize the hard work and dedication of people everywhere, and hopefully enjoy a little well-earned time outdoors with family, friends, and good neighbors.
