Father and son fishing trip...!

1st timers Marc and Kash spent a couple of days here at Lake John shore fishing....Kash did well as you can see by his infectious smiles.... excellent job!

Another family who has decided that they want to spend some of their fun time here in Jackson County...thanks for sharing!

Good afternoon Lake Johner's....!

Jared C, a resident Lake Johner, was out with buddies this past weekend and spent a couple of days out trolling Lake John.... Saturday was slow but Sunday morning was on fire!

Jared and friends couldn't keep up with the bite that morning....one after another.... about 20 caught and released.

Nicely done 👍.

Reminder.... Lake John is currently being filled....only a couple feet down!

A cabin just became available....call us at 970-286-1269 to make it yours!

Fishing is getting better by the day.... Temperatures are a lot cooler and we've had some precipitation.

Local fires have been all but contained.

Stage 2 fire ban still in effect.

Current temp 51°F...

Water level about 2' down with water flowing in from inlet...

Fishing (bite) improving by the day with these more favorable temps.

Ambient temp at 8am 67°F....

86° F forecast high today with temps gradually cooling down as the week progresses. PM T-storms as well in the forecast starting Monday....

Water still flowing at the inlet....!!!

Best fishing still in the deep pockets....

Crawlers, powerbait, buggers, Tasmanian Devils, Mepps and Rainbow Needlefish reported as working well.

Algae diminishing as temps fall....

Haze your seeing is from outside Colorado mainly....no noticeable smoky odor.
