In honor of International Women's Day we fondly remember our founder Carolyn Moon. Carolyn was a pioneer. She was an Engineering Programmer in the 1950s at The Boeing Company, the only woman in the engineering department. She also loved to craft and sew. Carolyn was active in the Amercian Association of University Women, a founding member of the National Association of Truck Stop Operators; winning their Distinguished member award in 2003. She was also awarded the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for 2000 and inducted into the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame in 2006. Carolyn encouraged everyone to be better at whatever it was they did. She helped pave the way for the many women who work with us today at Iowa 80 Group and in the truckstop industry as a whole.

The footings are being poured and we are looking at a summer opening. We keep building and y'all keep coming. To be clear, none of this is possible without you, our wonderful customers.
