👻 Spirit Day 2: Character Chaos! 🎃

Our centers were full of favorite characters today! From fun costumes to familiar faces, everyone got to show off their character-inspired looks for Character Chaos Day! 🤩

The girls headed to the library, where they enjoyed their drinks and listened to a Halloween story to get into the spooky spirit! 📚☕ Meanwhile, the guys group enjoyed their drinks and spent time chatting together!

Back at the center, we got creative with some fun Halloween crafts and even made a yummy eight-legged treat! 🕷️🕸️ A little character chaos and lots of Halloween fun! 🧡

🤠🌵 Spirit Week Day 1: Wicked Wild West! 👻

We kicked off Spirit Week in true Wild West style with flannels, cowboy boots, and cowboy/cowgirl hats! One group enjoyed a visit to Carlisle Reservation’s Haunted Walk, where the beautiful fall weather made it the perfect day to stroll through the park and take in all the spooky decorations! 🍂🎃💀

Meanwhile, another group spent the day volunteering and giving back to our community. ❤️ From spooky adventures to lending a helping hand, it was a wonderful start to Spirit Week filled with fun, fall vibes, and making a difference! 🧡🤎

Fridays at RSC are always a favorite! ❤️ One group headed out to volunteer while another had some fun going bowling! After volunteering, that group even made a quick stop outside the Ghostly Manor to snap a few spooky photos! 👻📸 Of course, we wrapped up another great Friday with our favorite….PIZZA🍕😁

👻🎃 Healy Woods Haunted Walk always puts on such an incredible display year after year! We look forward to visiting every year, and somehow, it just keeps getting better and better! Our individuals loved checking out all the spooky details, and we appreciate the time, effort, and generosity that goes into making it all possible, especially supporting such a great cause like St. Jude’s! ❤️

Our weekly shopping trips are about so much more than filling our carts! They’re an opportunity for our individuals to make their own choices, explore the aisles, compare prices, stick to a budget, and practice purchasing their items at the register.💚🛒

At Rising Sun Centers, one of our biggest priorities is providing meaningful opportunities for our individuals to learn, grow, and become more independent. Each trip is another chance to build everyday life skills, gain confidence, and take pride in what they can do. We love watching that confidence grow week after week! 🥰

Every little step forward matters, and we’re proud to help our individuals build skills that they can carry with them throughout their everyday lives. And of course… we always love a good shopping trip! 🛒🛍️

We had a frightfully FUN time visiting The Alteridge Resurrection Haunted House🖤💀 After having such a great time last year, we couldn’t wait to come back for another visit this year! The incredible displays, spooky details, and all the hard work that goes into bringing it to life made for such a fun experience. And we even had some yummy treats!
🍬👻

A BIG thank you to Shelly and Ben for having our individuals and giving us another great experience! We appreciate you having us and sharing all the spooky fun with us! Ben, you did an AMAZING job!!💚

If you haven’t had a chance to check it out yet, be sure to add it to your Halloween plans! You won’t want to miss it!

Today was filled with learning, connecting, and giving back at Rising Sun Centers! Our ladies enjoyed a visit with the cows, learning about these amazing animals, getting up close to pet them, and enjoying their time through hands-on experiences.🐄

Another group spent time volunteering in our community, delivering meals to those in need. It was a great opportunity to learn how even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference and how important it is to show up for others and give back to our community. This group also made their way to the farm! 🚜

Meanwhile, those back at the center got creative and enjoyed making a craft together! Whether we’re exploring something new, helping others, or creating together, every day brings opportunities to learn, grow, and make a difference. And sometimes, it’s the simplest moments that mean the most!❤️
