FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DATE: June 17, 2026
SUBJECT: Wabash City Police Department Rallies Community Support for "Phoenixβs Paw-Some Lemonade Stand" K9 Fundraiser
WABASH, IN β The Wabash City Police Department is proud to announce and support a heartwarming community initiative aimed at strengthening our K9 unit. As detailed in the accompanying flyer, a local young citizen is stepping up to make a big difference for our four-legged heroes.
On June 26, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, community members are invited to visit Phoenixβs Paw-Some Lemonade Stand located at 79 Lasalle Ave.
This special event is a "K9 Fundraiser - Police & K9 Heroes Support." Every single dollar raised during the event will have a direct impact on our operations, as all proceeds will be going toward a Local Police Dept K9 Unit Purchase.
Event Highlights:
Location: 79 Lasalle Ave
Date & Time: June 26 | 8:00 AM β 4:00 PM
Special Offer: To show appreciation for those who serve our community, there will be FREE tea or lemonade for all First Responders.
Refreshments: Stop by to enjoy cold drinks and delicious treats to help us reach our goal!
The Wabash City Police Department relies heavily on the dedication of our K9 pairs to keep our streets safe, track missing persons, and detect illicit substances. Purchasing and training a new police K9 is a significant investment, and grassroots efforts like Phoenix's showcase the incredible bond between our department and the citizens we protect.
We encourage everyone to come out, grab a refreshing drink, and help us make this fundraiser a massive success. As the event motto reminds us: "Sip. Support. Make a difference."
