Nobody really talks about what it's like to work in a shop in August. So we will. πŸ”₯

The bays hit over 100 degrees some days. There's no "air conditioned office" option when you're under a car. You eat lunch fast, you drink a lot of water, and you keep going because the person waiting on their car needs to get home to their family.

Our team doesn't complain about it. They just show up. Every single day. And we think that's worth saying out loud.

Thanks for trusting us with your car. We don't take it lightly.

Here's something we think about a lot: the first car you ever drove says a lot about you. πŸš—

Ours? A beat-up pickup that technically shouldn't have passed inspection. (We'll never tell whose it was.)

First cars are a whole thing. They're usually terrible and somehow unforgettable. What was yours? Make, model, color, and one memory. Go. πŸ‘‡

Time to bust some car myths. πŸš—πŸ’₯

You have to change your oil every 3,000 miles.
MYTH. Most modern cars go 5,000 to 10,000 miles. Your owner's manual knows better than the sticker on your windshield.

You need to warm up your engine before driving in cold weather.
MYTH. Modern fuel-injection engines warm up faster when you just drive gently. Idling for 10 minutes actually wastes gas.

Premium gas makes your car run better.
MYTH (for most cars). Unless your engine specifically calls for it, you're just paying extra for zero benefit.

Which one surprised you most? And drop a myth you've heard below. We might turn this into a series. πŸ”§

Pop quiz: how many miles of road do you think are in our county? πŸ›£οΈ

We're out here on them every day, fixing the cars that drive every single one. And honestly, thinking about it that way makes this job feel pretty cool.

Drop your guess in the comments. No peeking.

Most people only see the car going in and coming out. Fair enough, that's kind of the point. πŸ˜„

But here's what happens in between: we're asking questions, looking at wear patterns, talking through options, and sometimes talking you out of something you don't actually need yet. That last part matters to us a lot.

We're not here to upsell you. We're here to keep your car running and to be honest with you about what's worth doing and what can wait. That's the only way this works long-term. Thanks for trusting us with it.

Happy 4th from all of us at Hyatt's. πŸŽ†

Today we're not thinking about cars. We're thinking about neighbors, good food, and the kind of summer nights that remind you why you live where you live.

We're closed today so our team can enjoy it too. We'll be back Monday, ready to help you with whatever your car needs after all those miles this weekend. Drive safe out there.

Holiday weekend checklist before you hit the road. πŸš™βœ…

Just the things worth a quick look before a long drive:

β†’ Tire pressure (they lose about 1 PSI per 10Β° of temp drop, and gain in heat)
β†’ Coolant level (especially if your AC is working hard)
β†’ Windshield washer fluid (you'll use more than you think)
β†’ Any warning lights you've been meaning to check on

Two minutes in your driveway can save a lot of hassle on the highway. Have a great 4th, wherever you're headed. πŸŽ†

Here's something we wish more people knew: your car will usually tell you something's wrong before it actually breaks down. You just have to know what to listen for. πŸ‘‚

A squeal when you brake. A shimmy at highway speed. A smell you can't quite place. These are your car talking. Most of the time, catching it early is the difference between a simple fix and a big bill.

What's the weirdest sound or warning sign you've ever noticed in a car? Drop it below, we might be able to tell you what it was.

To every dad who taught someone how to check the oil, change a tire, or just take care of what you've got, this one's for you. πŸ”§β€οΈ

Some of the best life lessons don't happen at a desk. They happen in a driveway, with a flashlight and a little patience. Happy Father's Day to all the dads, stepdads, and father figures out there. We see you.

Who taught you your first thing about cars? Tell us in the comments.
