Mercedes-Benz has announced several significant safety recalls covering a wide range of models. Because recalls apply only to specific production batches and not every vehicle of a given model, you will need to check your car's specific 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

Some of the notable campaigns include:

Display Malfunction: Certain 2024–2026 AMG GT, C-Class, E-Class, SL, CLE, and GLC models are recalled for a software fault that can cause the dashboard and infotainment displays to go blank while driving.

Loss of Propulsion: A recent recall impacts certain 2018–2020 E-Class and S-Class 4MATIC models due to a driveshaft defect that can cause a sudden, complete loss of propulsion without warning.

Seat Belts & Trim: Certain 2020–2026 GLE and GLS models are recalled for improperly tightened rear seat belt bolts and rear door window trim bars that may detach while driving.

Battery & Brakes: High voltage battery failures affecting certain 2022–2024 EQB models (requiring a battery software update) and front brake hose ruptures on specific 2021–2023 S-Class and Maybach models.

Recent major recalls include:

Jeep / Stellantis: Over 1 million 2021-2025 Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators are being recalled for a power steering issue that carries a fire risk. Stellantis is also recalling over 17,000 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrids for a battery defect.

Honda: Approximately 880,000 Honda and Acura vehicles are recalled over a rear subframe issue.

Ford: Over 420,000 Ford Expeditions and Lincoln Navigators (2018-2022) are being recalled for seat belts that can lock up or fail to retract.

Subaru: Over 69,000 Forester and Forester Hybrid SUVs have been recalled over a detached moonroof issue.

Toyota / Lexus: A smaller recall targets certain 2025 Lexus UX Hybrid, 2024 Lexus GX, Toyota Mirai, and 2024-2025 Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid vehicles over malfunctioning instrument panels.

If you own an affected model, you will typically receive a notification by mail, and dealers are required to fix the issues free of charge.
