What hard skills changed your life?

Teaching these youth classes has shown me one thing:

These kids want to learn.

They’re not on their phones because they’re lazy.
They’re chasing the feeling of winning at something.

The phone is just easy access.

Give them real skills.
Give them capability.
Give them a reason to PUT DOWN THE PHONE

That’s how we change the world.

Controvercial statement!

Failures build your confidence.

Confidence comes in layers.

if youre naturally good at something you can be confident that you can complete that task. HOWEVER when you are not naturally gifted or you FAIL you can go 2 directions. You can quit OR you can get back up, reflect on why you failed and do it again until you get it right. failing builds confidence in knowing if things go wrong you have the capacity to figure it out and keep going.

Thats where confidence finds its foundation!

Leadership requires faith.

Faith in yourself.
Faith in the people around you.
And faith that failure is part of growth.

Failures are stepping stones to greatness OR they are weights that can pull you down.

You always have a choice.

Leadership isn’t built in comfort.
It’s built through pressure, failure, accountability, and the willingness to get back up.

Some kids grow up believing they’re stupid…
when really they were just never taught in a way that worked for them.

The “problem kid.”
The “wild kid.”
The kid that can’t sit still.

Sometimes that’s the kid that just needs:
purpose, movement, responsibility…
and someone willing to believe in them.

Some of the most capable people I’ve ever met struggled in school.

Not because they lacked intelligence.
Because nobody took the time to understand how they learned.

That’s the mission. 🔥

You should’ve seen these kids faces when they opened these boxes. 😍

Some of these students have never had someone invest in them like this before.

Miller Electric ⚡ saw the mission immediately and stepped up in a huge way for the Summer Brave Academy.

Without hesitation, they sent professional-grade PPE and welding equipment so these students can learn with the same tools they’ll see in real shops and real careers.

That matters.

Confidence comes with capabilities.
And capabilities are built through doing.
