๐๐พ๐ง๐ ๏ธ๐โ ๏ธ CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FREEDOM ๐๐พ ๐ฉ
No more failing Check Engine Lights.
The U.S. EPA just approved North Carolinaโs request to eliminate vehicle emissions testing in 19 counties that still require it โ including Wake County.
The change comes as North Carolinaโs air quality continues to improve. For drivers, that means almost saving $30 a year on emissions inspections (safety still required). The EPA will now open a 30-day public comment period through June before the change becomes official.
Mecklenburg County would remain the only county in North Carolina still requiring emissions testing under a separate state law. Sorry, Charlotte.
Are you for or against ending emissions testing?
