If you are in juniors class please take time to read this.
Make sure you hear this because you may not hear it again from me, but I think I may have made a mistake. First off I should have opened it up for discussion before making a decision on the changing
or adding to a race format. I want everyone to understand that I only had good intentions and meant only to expand the racers knowledge and ability. Previously I had added two races to the juniors schedule. Two open tire races, which was a good idea to help them transition to the next level, but it was also unfair to them. All year they have been running non prep tires for points races. And at the end of the season I changed and added two open tire races that would count as points races. Which may have been a mistake. It was ok to allow them to run prepped tires but it shouldn’t have been for points. Simply because it is a learning experience and theses kids have been running all year on non prep tires not to mention for a points championship. So with that being said this weekend they will still
run prepped tires,but I am opening it up for discussion and thoughts on the matter. And this is just for the junior class racers and parents, so if your not in that class, then please refrain from voicing your opinion on matter. Saturday before drivers meeting we will put it to a vote on whether or not it should count towards the points series. So if You have a junior please take the time to ponder on this and let’s come up with the best
solution for moving forward. Feel free to voice your opinion here or you can wait till Saturday at drivers meeting. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.
I want everyone to understand that the reason for me building Cotton’s Corner was built for 3 reasons, 1. To offer a place where people could come and enjoy themselves and have good clean fun, 2. To help bring back affordable kart racing to the average Joe who got pushed out by the high price of kart racing,and 3. to make go kart racing great again and bring back the backyard tracks that made this sport exciting for everyone.
