We are honored to be a part of this amazing celebration! 💙

Wrapping up the banner project today. We are fortunate to have thousands of travelers come through our little town, not only for commuting, but on adventures too. People from all over the world drive through here every week, exploring Route 66. Virden is located on one of the most historical highways in the world and it's the 100 year anniversary for our stretch. It amazes me that nothing is being promoted, no effort to welcome travelers, nothing at all. Well, here's a start. Thank you to these businesses that answered my messages, saw the vision, believed in it and donated. We raised over $3000 in about 6 weeks to purchase 22 30x40 banners for our square and levee. They should be going up in the next couple weeks. Next on the agenda is flower containers for the square and maybe even some murals. You want businesses to come into town, we need to take pride in our community and show them we have a place worth investing in. The bare minimum isn't cutting it anymore.
