Just did some research and found that a power steer pump pulls 6 hp and 6 pounds of torque from a 4 cyl motor.. and up to 11 hp on a full size car.. takes a little more muscle but to the hp is worth it.. you do need to add a reservoir to keep the rack lubricated..

this CRV was caught in the flood of 2018 in Viola. with new JDM motor trans and many new parts, after 6 years, it has been brought back to life. You can see how high the water was with the white line on the brake booster. hope to paint this one grape metallic. got a spare one also with 5 speed manual. has already been useful for parts..

crv. it is is used for suspension and steering. the one to the right is a coil over shock.. and has nothing to do with steering and it weighs alot less.. if you do 2 things at one time, both lose performance. and then theres the the tuneability..
until you drive a car with full double wishbone suspension you dont know what your missing.. this is the suspension used in performance track cars..
The reason they went to struts is because its cheaper. dont have near as many moving parts for articulation....

Until i get the support system done for my fully solar electric car. Im restoring this 1992 honda vx hatchback.. back in the late 80's early 90's there was a fuel shortage.. and this was hondas way to answer that.
this has a revolutionary motor that got up to 55 miles per gallon and is still fun to drive.. and will still pass modern smog tests. this mpg rivals many of todays hybrids.. why were only 1,200 made?.. I think we all know why the oil industry didnt want them to keep making cars like this.... if youd like to hear more about this special car.. come down to the car show on the 4th of July and ill tell you. more.
what sad is, people who wanted to do motor swaps picked this one because it was so light.. so there are very few left. i saved this one from such a fate.
