It's that time of year again!! Time to start winterizing or at least thinking about it!
To avoid costly repairs.....
Pressure washers: Put them somewhere they won't freeze and/or Get a can of pump protector that connects to the water inlet and gets antifreeze into the pump! Every year we replace countless pumps at a MUCH higher cost than a can of protector!
For all small equipment: Clean them up (change oil now or spring if applicable), then either run it dry or FILL it up with STABILIZED FUEL (we recommend StarTron fuel stabilizer) and run it for a minute or so to work the stabilized fuel into the system.
Leaving partial tanks of unstabilized fuel BEGS for the ethanol in the fuel to attract condensation and leaves water in the tank that will cause problems, if not failure.

And here we go AGAIN........Except now they are taking more of the tiny profit they leave for us. At least I know that this is industry wide and not just STIHL. We ALL taking the hit... Auto parts have also been hit hard.

FYI: Stihl has given us the first ever mid-season price increases due to tariffs.
EVERY piece of equipment, bars and some chains have increased as much as $220 depending on the original price on all orders as of 7/7/2025.
Chainsaws have increased $30 to $170, depending on the saw.
Our mower manufacturers have also done this.

Cub Cadet has a bunch of XT1 and XT2 lawn tractors experiencing premature transmission failure and slipping. Most of these were sold at Home Depot and Tractor Supply stores and they are providing free transmission replacement for those diagnosed with this problem (for now anyway).
If you have ANY of the following symptoms at all, immediately check to see if your model number is listed and call us (609-859-2009) or another Cub Cadet dealer right away. These mowers were manufactured from 2021-2023.
SYMPTOMS (likely would have started around or after 30 hours or use):
1. Jerking while turning.
2. Rapid or sudden decrease of power over a short period of time. 3. Slower machine movement on hills or inability to climb hills.
4. Popping, cracking, grinding or other unusual noise coming from within the transmission.
5. Loss of propulsion and braking.
6. Obvious transmission slipping.

The month/year of manufacture will be on the sticker with your model and serial under the seat.
