A BIG announcement is coming soon! We can't wait to introduce you to the crew who will be starting their own race on the beautiful Chicot State Park trails in 2027. This is a great group of LOCAL ultrarunners who care about the Chicot trails and runners as much as we do, and we know you will be in good hands. Here it is! The design for the 10th Anniversary Loup Garou medals and buckles is in! We are hoping these newly designed medals and buckles will serve as a reminder of all of the people you met along the trail.

Medals and buckles will be the same high quality as always (we have used the same company for 10 years now), but both will be larger than our usual offerings. Can't wait to see these guys in person!!

We officially have our first distance with two previous winners signed up for the Loup Garou Showdown this December! Nick Cronan won the men's 40 miler in 2017 with a time of 7:19 and Donald Quintana won it in 2020 with a time of 6:30. Both of these guys are strong runners, and we are excited to see if one of them gets the overall title of Loup Garou Men's 40 Mile Champion!

Our final year Showdown is slowly taking shape! For our 10th and final year, we thought it would be fun to bring back all of the first place winners over the history of the race to see who takes home the top honors once and for all.

Here are the finisher rates for the 2025 Loup Garou Trail Run. As expected, the higher the distance, the lower the finisher rate. All of these are pretty steady to what we have seen over the last 9 years.

All of the leftover food and drinks have been delivered to one of our local shelters and the race trailer is cleaned out and repacked for next year, so I guess 2025 Loup Garou is officially complete. ❤️ As someone who really wants you guys to have a great experience, you have no idea how much pressure I feel for the Grand Finale, lol. Plans are already in the works to make our tenth year something we can all be proud of.

This race started organically. We have a strong trail running community here, so when I wanted to start the race, I asked for their support - and they gave it! They are the same volunteers you see out there to date.

It didn’t come from a place of how to make money, instead from a desire to bring people to our favorite trail and treat them as guests. And here we are. I guess it worked.

Thank you to my friends for their love of the sport and their love of supporting you guys! It’s easy to pin the achievement on one person, but this race would be nothing without our volunteers.

Shipley Cafe at the start/finish - big props for keeping us all awake and fed throughout the event. Erin is also our medical expert on site and through the 15 ultras we have hosted with her (including the early Red Dirts), she is SOLID!

There are names left off but to list them would take days. Soooo many amazing human beings sacrifice their weekend and their sleep to support our runners. It’s crazy to think that all of these incredible people came together to do this ridiculous thing. ❤️. One more year to celebrate you guys. One more year to love on our fellow humans. ❤️
