Summer ☀️ is coming up soon. With that comes the warmer weather, which is great for us, but not so great for our cars. Extreme heat wears our engine and transmission components faster.
If you’ve seen your oil or trans temps get into the mid 200s F* in traffic or after a few pulls, it’s recommended to look into aftermarket cooling solutions. At BPS, we got you.
Below is some work I’ve done on a customers vehicle that just had a regular Oil Filter Housing without a cooler option, and he would see his temps hit 250* frequently. After installing a OFH with VTT -10 AN adapter plate, running custom short lines straight to a cooler mounted behind his kidney grill for a discrete look, we achieved temps in the ideal range of 180-220 MAX after consecutive pulls.
Thermostat is recommended, but not necessary to run if it’s not your daily vehicle. We can do it all, no thermostat (vehicles takes a bit longer to warm up but oil always runs through the cooler), stock thermostat (fully opens at 250* F), aftermarket thermostat (opens at 180-240* F), etc. We will get you the right set up for your needs. Feel free to pm with any questions, or call to set up an appointment at the source for all your BMW needs, Bimmer Performance Source!
Shoutout to Jack R for letting me use his beautiful ‘07 335i as a prime example for the necessity of keeping your car cool 😎
