Well this one is a hard pill for me as a new shop owner/operator to swallow. And why not make every action public, so there’s no confusion. Went into this job for Casey super eager, and with high intentions on finishing it for him, on time with our deadline. I straight up failed that! I took a couple of weeks for granted, and kept pushing myself further and further back with it. As understanding as he was, it was very irritating for him, and myself. I am very fortunate to have had the opportunity to rebuild a really cool truck, with a lot of history behind it. After 4-5 months, it was time we both stepped away and called it a loss. Running/maintaining a business is hard! Especially by yourself. No excuses though, it’s all on myself. This was a great lesson for me as a business owner, and a young guy on how to manage and meet expectations. Just really upset that it was on the expense of the client, and who just wanted his truck back after 2-3 months of it being over deadline. We will learn, and move on with higher expectations for the future. Thank you for this opportunity.
