The Texas Mile Get off the highway and come out to The Texas Mile. Show what YOU have on a ONE-MILE straight away. There are onsite concessions to enjoy while at the event.

The Texas Mile has grown rapidly since our inaugural event in October 2003. Participants come from all edges of the United States, Canada and Mexico to test themselves and their motorized equipment on the fastest and most challenging 1-mile track in the world. They achieve their top speed in 1-Mile and shut down in a 1/2-Mile. This bi-annual Motorsports Festival is created for performance enthusiast - Welcoming Motorcycles, Performance Street Cars, Race Cars and Land Speed Racers. Spectators enjoy seeing the cars and motorcycles on the track and visiting with the participants in the paddock. For more details, see the rules and regulations section for participants and spectators. It is like running on a straight 1 1/2 mile section of open highway without the fear of tickets and jail time. A High Speed Shoot-out and Land Speed Racing Venue that compares to the likes of the legendary Bonneville that beckons one to "Drive in Your World, Race in Ours"!

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON! The historic Texas Mile returns to the Chase Field Industrial Airport Complex next weekend, October 23–25! 🏎️💨

Get ready for three days of high-octane racing, incredible machines, and immersive family fun. This year, we are celebrating a major milestone: Chase Field joining the Texas Airport System Plan! We are purposefully weaving aviation into our motorsports tradition with static aircraft displays, youth rocket building, family bingo, and an airplane ride raffle in partnership with EAA Chapter 1711 – Gideons Air Force and regional Civil Air Patrol groups. ✈️🚀

Here is a glimpse of what's coming to the Mile:
🔥 M2K Motorsports is back with top drivers, featuring standout land-speed racer Tracy Higginbottom coming off her staggering 231.5 MPH class record at Bonneville Speed Week!

🎬 The Iconic "Eleanor"—see Lee Novikoff’s officially licensed 1967 Ford Mustang build from Gone in 60 Seconds in person!

🏍️ Two Wheels, Incredible Speed: Watch elite motorcycles push limits, featuring riders Brandon McBride, Christina Creamer, Joey Willhite, and Bo Oliver.

🚗 Saturday Show & Shine Car Show (Oct. 24): Bring your ride or admire custom builds and vintage classics competing for the Director's Award!

🙏 In Honor of God Devotional Service: Sun., Oct. 25th at 8:00 AM, Start line Spectator Tent.

🍔 TAILGATER FRIENDLY! Pack your ice chests and coolers with your favorite food and drinks. Alcohol is permitted in spectator areas (please drink responsibly—strictly prohibited in the active grid area; no glass containers on site). Local food vendors like Trojan Express will also be serving up delicious eats!

🎟️ ADMISSION: Just $25 per person, full in-and-out privileges for three days. Kids 12 & under enter FREE. Bring the whole family out to celebrate freedom, country, and community.
