🔧 BROKEN SPRINGS ➡️ BACK TO WORK 🔧

This belly dump trailer came in with broken leaf springs, and our crew got to work getting the suspension back where it needed to be.

Leaf springs carry a tremendous amount of weight, especially on hard-working trailers like this one. When is spring breaks it can affect load support, axle, alignment, handling, and overall safety - so it’s definitely not something to ignore.

We removed the damage components, replace the broken leaf springs, and got everything secured back into place. 💪🏻

Heavy duty equipment works hard, and sometimes the repairs have to work just as hard.

This Dodge truck came to us after the customer believed the issue was fuel related. Instead of replacing fuel system components, our technician performed a complete diagnostics.

Here is what we found:
✅ Trouble codes for the crankshaft position sensor and MAF (Mass Air Flow) circuit.
✅ The crankshaft position sensor was damaged, likely from a previous belt failure
✅ Testing confirmed the MAF sensor had also failed internally due to a short circuit caused by the damaged crankshaft sensor.

The fix:
🔧 Replaced the crankshaft position sensor
🔧 Replaced the MAF sensor
🔧 Cleared the codes and retested the truck to verify the repair

This is the perfect example of why accurate diagnostics matter. What seemed like a fuel problem was actually an electrical sensor issue. Replacing parts based on assumptions can cost time and money, but proper testing gets to the root of the problem.

At Lynn’s Road Service, we don’t guess - we diagnose.

This truck came into our shop with a turbo charger issue that needed some attention.

After inspection our technician found:
⚠️ The turbo’s variable geometry wheel was seized, causing the turbo to lock in position.
⚠️ a faulty injector that also needed replacement.

Instead of immediately replacing the entire turbocharger, our technician carefully:
✅ Disassembled the turbo
✅ Cleaned the internal component
✅ Freed up the seized variable geometry mechanism
✅ Reassembled the turbo
✅ Replaced the bad injector

The result? A properly functioning turbo system and another truck one step closer to getting back on the road.

Sometimes the right repair isn’t replacing the whole assembly - it’s taking the time to diagnose the problem and fix what’s actually causing it.

That’s the kind of honest, quality work we strive to provide every day.

Not every transmission problems starts with slipping gears - sometimes the warning signs are hidden underneath.

The Ford super duty was towed into our shop with a suspected transmission issue during our inspection. We found the underside of the truck covered in transmission fluid.

After a test drive, we confirmed the problem. The truck would only drive for one to two minutes before the transmission pump pressure dropped to zero, leaving it unable to move properly.

Our repair:
✔️ Diagnosed the transmission failure
✔️ Replaced the transmission
✔️ Flushed the transmission cooler lines to remove any debris and help protect the new transmission.

Flushing the cooler lines is an important step during a transmission replacement. Any leftover contamination from the failed transmission can damage the new unit if it isn’t properly cleaned out.

If you notice delayed shifting, slipping, fluid leaks, or your vehicle suddenly loses the ability to move, don’t ignore it. Catching transmission issues early can help prevent even more extensive damage.

This Ford F150 came to us after another shop told the customer it had a blown head gasket.

Before recommending a major repair, we performed our own diagnosis.

✅ Test drove the truck
✅ Performed a block test
✅ Found NO evidence of a blown head gasket

Instead, we heard a knocking noise coming from the front of the engine.

After disassembling, we found the real issue:
⚠️ The timing chain guides had broken apart, sending broken plastic pieces into the oil pan and causing the timing system to fail.

Our repair included:
✔️ Timing Kit Replacement
✔️ Timing Cover Gasket
✔️ Fresh Engine Oil
✔️ New Oil Filter
✔️ New Coolant

The result? The customer got the repair they actually needed instead of paying for unnecessary engine work.

💡 Maintenance Tip:
Regular oil changes and routine inspections can help extend the life of timing components. While timing chain guides do wear overtime staying on top of maintenance gives technicians the opportunity to catch unusual noises or wear before they become a much bigger and more expensive repair.

At Lynn’s Road Service, we believe in diagnosing the problem first and repairing it right the first time.
