Full circle moment today… Phancy is officially coming back home.
This was Paul’s car and the first major build that truly helped launch and grow Dutchboys Hotrods into what it is today. When the car was originally built, it made a huge impact for the shop, opened a lot of doors, and became a pretty legendary car in the industry.
Years ago, Paul made the difficult decision to sell it in order to help grow the business and continue building the dream. Today, he finally had the opportunity to buy it back and bring it home to Dutchboys.
For the people that always wondered where the name came from… Phancy earned it honestly. The car was a little bit of an internet w***e back in the day, constantly getting shared and popping up everywhere, while also getting driven hard and used the way it was meant to be. Add in the big flares making the car extra “fat,” and somehow “Phancy” with a PH just stuck perfectly. 😂
Some cars are just cars… and some become part of your story. Phancy will always be one of those cars for us. Stay tuned for what’s next!
