🎃🔥 FRIGHT FEST — DAY 1! 🔥🎃

The #48 is back at Pomfret Speedway today for the first half of Fright Fest weekend!

Today is all about practice, test & tune, and getting the kart where Daltyn wants it before Sunday’s final Outlaw Series race of 2026. 💙🏁

🏁 Gates open — 7:00 AM
🔥 Open Practice — 9:30 AM–2:00 PM
🔧 Test & Tune — 2:00–4:30 PM
🎃 Halloween Festivities & Potluck — 4:30 PM

After everything we’ve learned this season, today is our chance to get some laps in, make changes, and hopefully head into Sunday feeling confident.

And yes… there’s Halloween fun mixed in too, because apparently racing all day wasn’t enough. 😂🎃

Day 1. Let’s get to work. 💙🏁

🎃🏁 FRIGHT FEST WEEKEND IS HERE! 🏁🎃

One more outdoor racing weekend for the #48!

This weekend we’re headed back to Pomfret Speedway for Fright Fest and Daltyn’s FINAL Outlaw Series weekend of the 2026 season. 💙

Saturday is all about getting dialed in:
🏁 Gates open — 7:00 AM
🔥 Open Practice — 9:30 AM–2:00 PM
🔧 Test & Tune — 2:00–4:30 PM
🎃 Halloween Festivities & Potluck — 4:30 PM

Then Sunday it’s time to race, with heats starting at 11:30 AM and features to follow.

This season has taken us to new tracks, forced us to learn different setups, and taught us plenty along the way. Now we get one last Outlaw weekend to put it all together before shifting fully to PVIK through December 20.

One last outdoor weekend.
One last Outlaw push.
Let’s finish 2026 strong. 💙🏁

As always, thank you to the people and businesses that keep the #48 rolling:

💙 Precision Motor Coach
💙 Lather & Rinse Salon
💙 Meineke Car Care Center of West Hartford

🏁 CLAREMONT RACE RECAP — P6 🏁

Well, Claremont was FUN… and VERY different from anywhere we’ve raced before. 😂

We knew going into a brand-new track there would be a learning curve, and Sunday definitely gave the #48 team plenty to learn.

💙 Practice 1: Daltyn went out and immediately reported the kart was very loose coming off the corners. Dad made a few adjustments and we headed back out for round two.

💙 Practice 2: The kart felt better to Daltyn, but the stopwatch wasn’t showing the lap times we expected. Back to the drawing board. Dad made another change and sent him out for the heats.

After the heats, we realized that change had taken us in a different direction than we expected.

So naturally…

We swung for the fence. 😂

We made a much bigger change for the feature hoping we’d find what the #48 needed.

Narrator: We did not. 🤣

These smaller kart tracks might officially become the bane of our existence! Just when we start figuring out what this kart wants at Stafford with its longer straightaways, we switch gears, head to these smaller tracks and basically have to start learning all over again.

But that’s racing. Every track, every adjustment and every wrong turn in setup gives Daltyn and Dad more information for the notebook. We’re still a relatively new team figuring this stuff out together, and sometimes learning what doesn’t work is just as valuable as finding what does.

Daltyn rolled off P6 for the feature and battled through to maintain P6 at the checkered. 🏁

Not the result we were hoping to find with all those changes, but we came to Claremont to learn — and we definitely left knowing more than we did when we arrived.

Now we’re taking a weekend off from the Outlaw Series and heading back indoors to Pioneer Valley Indoor Karting next weekend! 🏎️💨

Then it’s one final outdoor racing weekend:

🎃🏁 October 17 & 18 — Fright Fest at Pomfret Speedway!

That will be our FINAL Outlaw Series race of the 2026 season.

As always, a huge thank you to the people and businesses that keep the #48 rolling:

💙 Andresen Electrical Services
💙 Precision Motor Coach
💙 Lather & Rinse Salon
💙 Meineke Car Care Center of West Hartford
💙 O’Reilly Auto Parts
💙 Grandpa Joe Racing
💙 Speedway Sign & Graphics
💙 Riley Generators

And thank you to everyone behind the scenes who continues to help this little team learn and grow.

Claremont ➡️ P6. Another new track in the notebook. Another lesson learned.

Next up: PVIK! 💙🏁

🏁🔥 IT’S RACE DAY! 🔥🏁

The wait is OVER — today Daltyn and the #48 are headed to Claremont Speedway for the 603 Karting Series Outlaw Series! 💙

After Mother Nature postponed this one, we’ve been waiting a little longer than expected to finally get the #48 on track at Claremont. Today we get our chance!

This will be Daltyn’s first time racing at Claremont, so the mission is simple: learn the track, find the line, build speed every time we go out and see what the #48 can do. 🏁

⏰ TODAY’S SCHEDULE
🏁 Gates Open — 9:00 AM
🎃 Trailer Trick or Treat — 10:00–10:30 AM
👥 Drivers Meeting — 11:00 AM
🔥 Practice Begins — 11:30 AM
🏎️ Jr. Outlaws — 2nd group out for practice
🏁 Heats & Features to follow!

We’ve got the kart loaded, the crew ready and one very excited driver. 💙

New track. New challenge. Same #48.

Time to go learn ourselves a racetrack. 😏🔥

🏁 NEXT STOP: CLAREMONT SPEEDWAY! 🏁

After Mother Nature made us wait a little longer than planned, the #48 is FINALLY headed to Claremont Speedway this Sunday for the 603 Karting Series Outlaw Series! 💙🔥

This will be Daltyn’s first time taking the #48 around Claremont, so Sunday is going to be all about learning a new track, finding speed and seeing what we can do!

It’s also Championship Day, so we’re expecting a full day of racing with the Jr. Outlaws getting TWO rounds of practice before heats and features. 🏁

⏰ Sunday Schedule
🏁 Gates Open — 9:00 AM
📝 Registration — 9:00–10:30 AM
🎃 Trailer Trick or Treat — 10:00–10:30 AM
👥 Drivers Meeting — 11:00 AM
🔥 Practice Begins — 11:30 AM

After everything this team has worked through this season, we’re excited to load up, head somewhere new and put the #48 back on track.

A huge thank you to everyone who keeps this kart rolling:

💙O’Reilly Auto Parts
💙 Precision Motor Coach

🏁 PVIK FALL/WINTER LEAGUE — RACE #1 RECAP! 🏁

Lots of learning, lots of racing, and a pretty successful first league day for BOTH Rivers boys! 💙💚

🔥 DALTYN — P2 🥈

Daltyn was placed in the Adult League and came out laying down some pretty strong times! With a cold track, it took a little while to get some heat into the tires, but once they came in, Daltyn settled into a strong P2.

On lap 14, while working through lapped traffic, Daltyn made two attempts to get around a car that wouldn’t move down, and the second attempt ended with Daltyn in the wall. 😬 That put him at the back of the lead-lap group and his podium spot suddenly wasn’t guaranteed.

Apparently Daltyn took that personally. 😂

He got back to work and started driving with PURPOSE. He wasn’t about to give up that podium spot without a fight, worked his way back through, and brought it home right where he had been running…

🥈 P2 FINISH!

🏎️ DEACON — P7

For Deacon, today was all about learning.

Based on qualifying, he was placed in the younger league and started P6. He was definitely nervous behind the wheel and quickly learned there’s a pretty big difference between turning laps for fun and getting into an actual competitive race. 😂

He spent the race finding his footing and learning when to be patient and when a little more aggression is needed. After a few cautions, he found himself battling it out with the back of the pack and ultimately brought it home P7.

Most importantly, he climbed out happy, having learned a TON about the ins and outs of racing and ready for more. 💚For his first taste of competitive kart racing, we’ll absolutely take it!

Now next weekend gets interesting… 😂

PVIK is scheduled to race again next Sunday, but so is our postponed Outlaw Series race at Claremont. Claremont is watching the weather, and if Sunday’s rain chances stick around and the race gets moved to Saturday, we’ll be able to make it back to PVIK on Sunday.

If Claremont stays Sunday, we’ll miss PVIK and the boys will return November 8, because Fright Fest and our final Outlaw Series race will have us racing Saturday and Sunday, October 17 & 18.

Apparently having TWO Rivers boys racing means our calendar has officially become a giant game of “Which track are we going to this weekend?” 😂🏁

Either way, today was a great start.

🥈 P2 for Daltyn
🏁 P7 and a whole lot of learning for Deacon
💙 💚Lots of learning for the Rivers boys and fun had by all!

Not a bad way to kick off the Fall/Winter League!

🏁 A NEW LEAGUE & A NEW RACER! 🏁

Apparently the Rivers boys have decided there is no such thing as too much racing. 😂

Today kicks off the Fall/Winter Junior League at Pioneer Valley Indoor Karting, giving Daltyn another chance to get behind the wheel, keep learning, and get even more seat time.

But this time… he’s bringing a teammate. 👀

After spending plenty of time watching his big brother race, little brother Deacon has decided it’s his turn to get behind the wheel! 🏎️💨 Deacon is joining the Junior League and is ready to see what this whole racing thing is about for himself.

Daltyn may have the experience advantage, but something tells us Deacon is going to have absolutely ZERO problem trying to chase down his big brother. 😂

Two Rivers boys. Two karts. One track.
What could possibly go wrong?! 🤣🏁

And don’t worry — the #48 outdoor season isn’t finished yet! Our postponed Outlaw Series race at Claremont is next weekend, followed by one more trip to Pomfret to finish out the outdoor season. 🔥

So apparently our fall calendar now looks like:

Race. Race indoors. Race some more. Repeat. 😂🏁

Here’s to a Fall/Winter Junior League full of learning, competition, brotherly trash talk, and a whole lot of fun.

Daltyn AND Deacon are ready to race! 💙🏁

🏁🌧️ MOTHER NATURE WINS — WTK SEASON FINALE CANCELLED 🌧️🏁

Well… Mother Nature gets the final checkered flag at Stafford this year. ☔️

Unfortunately, today’s Wild Thing Karts season finale has been cancelled, which means our 2026 WTK season officially comes to a close without getting that one last run we were hoping for.

It’s definitely disappointing, but what a season it has been for Daltyn and the #48. 💙 From wrecks and a barrel roll, to rebuilding a bent kart, chasing motor gremlins, finding speed, building confidence and — most importantly — watching Daltyn continue to grow as a driver, this season gave us plenty of memories and even more lessons.

We also want to send a HUGE congratulations to Brayden Kane on earning the 2026 Jr. Outlaw Points Championship! 🏆🏁 Congratulations to Brayden, his family and his entire team on an awesome season and a well-earned championship!

And while this officially closes the book on our 2026 Wild Thing Karts season, don’t pack the #48 away just yet. 😉

We’ve still got TWO Outlaw Series races left! 🔥

First up ➡️ Claremont Speedway next Sunday! 🏁 The #48 is ready to keep building on all the speed and progress we’ve found throughout the season.

A huge thank you to Wild Thing Karts, Stafford Motor Speedway, our sponsors, crew, family, friends and everyone who has supported Daltyn and the #48 through every high, low, rebuild and comeback this year. 💙

WTK 2026 is officially in the books.

But our season isn’t over yet…

🏁 IT’S RACE DAY — WILD THING KARTS SEASON FINALE! 🏁

Tomorrow we head to Stafford Motor Speedway for the final Wild Thing Karts race of the 2026 season! 💙

It has been one heck of a season for Daltyn and the #48. We’ve had highs, lows, wrecks, a barrel roll, a rebuild, motor gremlins and a whole lot of learning — but through all of it, Daltyn has continued to grow as a driver.

And lately? We’ve been finding the speed we’ve been chasing all season. 🔥

Tomorrow we get one more shot at Stafford to put it all together and finish our Wild Thing Karts season strong!

🏁 Gates open: 12:30 PM
🔧 Practice: 2:30–3:30 PM
⏱️ Group Qualifying: 4:00 PM
🏆 Features to follow

A huge thank you to our sponsors, family, friends, crew and everyone who has supported the #48 all season. 💙

One last dance at Stafford. Let’s go, #48! 🏁

And don’t worry…we’re not done racing yet. 😉 Two Outlaw Series races are still waiting for us!

🏁 RACE RECAP | A NIGHT FULL OF IMPROVEMENT 🏁

Last night might not have ended with a trophy, but this was one of those nights where the finishing position doesn’t tell the whole story. 💙

And honestly, one of Daltyn’s biggest accomplishments happened off the stopwatch.

All season we’ve been working with him on learning how to explain what he’s feeling in the kart — not just “it’s good” or “it’s bad,” but actually having a conversation with us about what the kart is doing and where it’s doing it.

It started clicking. 👏

We made some pretty big changes before Practice 1. Daltyn came in and told us the kart felt loose through the corners, so Dad went to work and tightened it up just a bit.

Practice 2?

Completely different kart. 🔥

Daltyn immediately said it felt way better, and we could SEE it. He was pulling on karts that he has struggled to keep pace with throughout the season.

That alone had us excited heading into the heat.

Daltyn started P1 and held onto the lead for most of the race. With about three laps to go, things got crowded, a three-wide battle through the corner shuffled the order, and he brought it home P4.

That put the #48 P14 for the feature.

And once again, we saw progress.

He was making good moves, finding speed and getting quicker as the laps clicked off. A caution around halfway changed the complexion of the race when the field was restarted single file rather than double file. Starting that deep in the field, the stretched-out restart definitely made gaining ground considerably harder.

But Daltyn kept digging.

He continued finding speed, kept fighting for positions and crossed the line P13. 🏁

P14 → P13 may not look huge on paper.

But last night was MUCH bigger than one position.

We watched a young driver begin to understand how his feedback translates into adjustments. We watched Dad make a change based on that feedback and Daltyn immediately feel the difference. And we watched the #48 run with karts we’ve been chasing all season.

That is progress. 💙

We’ve spent a lot of this season searching.

Last night it felt like Daltyn, Dad and the #48 started speaking the same language. 🔧🏁

And this one had a little extra meaning…

This race was for G’ma. 💙

No trophy needed to make us proud of this one.

P4 Heat | P14 → P13 Feature | A whole lot learned.

Onward, #48. 🏁💙
