Looks like cylinder eight bearing wear which created a knock.
Only cylinder 8. Ordered a new set of shells from Lucky 8. Overnight.
New set installed, torqued, pan installed, oil and hopefully a nice smooth drive. I feel like I caught this right in time.

Finally got the cap off. Now to get these out for inspection.

Well! At least the pan was out!
Rotated the crank a little and tested the back rod cap. Little play. Trying to remove it to inspect the sleeve. Stay tuned! Ugh.

Double checking for any wear. Pulled the oil pan to check for any metal or shavings. Checking the rocker arms.

This thing is tight!

Fresh oil, new oil filter and let’s put this baby back together.

Impromptu cooling system hose change. While adjusting the fuel injection and learning the new system, my upper hose burst.
It was wrapped tight around the distributor and was kinked. New longer hoses, bleeding process and bam. Holding at 190°.
Next up: suspension.

Back to the tune-up.

First repair on Brutus.
Clutch pipe. Pinhole leak was causing the clutch to feel really soft.
