Marcus Benjamin shared his adventures and personal stories as a TB50 Truck Bed Camper owner with our team. Thank you, Marcus, for being a crucial part of our journey.
“I, Marcus Benjamin, have 40,000 miles and counting on my TB50 Truck Bed Camper on my 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD, off-road, manual transmission. It has traveled in at least 23 states. I have slept on top of mountains, parking lots, the desert, windstorms, ice storms, thunderstorms, dust storms and much more in my TB50.This truck bed camper has been in temperatures as low as negative thirty's, not counting the windchill, and all the way up to almost one hundred degrees in the humid south.”
“That's where your design comes into play with the TB50. I customized mine with a small sink and drain hose with shelves storage and a two-burner stove. I also installed a fishing pole rack for fly rods and open face along with my trade tools. My sink runs on a USB chargeable water pump hooked into a five-gallon jug. Also, I have a small battery bank and one solar panel."
“The TB50 Truck Bed Camper is good for solo use and trips with a spouse or a buddy. The queen size bed easily sleeps three people or two people with dogs. I had a partner with me on an ice climbing trip up the north shore in Minnesota. We slept two in the TB50 and had room for our gear."
“The wind storm out on the plains were rough when I was working on a ranch in Kansas. We built bails but the wind was kicking so hard the grass was flying away. I slept in the TB50 that night and was fine, no dust no wind.”
“I've ridden some rodeos and after getting bucked off bulls the bed is nice to lay in and cheaper than a hotel. After skiing it's nice to relax in there, make coffee or soup and watch the sun go down. The camper gets warm just off the heat of the stove. Great for elk hunting trips in the mountains as I was able to go more places with the TB50 than a trailer. It is a smoother set up with winds at 8 to 10 thousand feet, and less likely to get stuck driving in the snowy mountains.”
“It is easy to move while hunting compared to tearing down camp. If you're a hunter, a fisher man, a surveyor, or arbor coulter tree work, the TB50 Truck Bed Camper is a great set up!”
