Have you ever left church thinking, “Well, we made it,” but wishing you’d brought something more home with you?
Does checking church off your Sunday list make you feel like a better Christian? And when you miss it, do you feel guilty?
I’ve been thinking about that. We all have things we know we should do. I see it at the gym, too. Sometimes getting there feels like an obligation, and the satisfaction is just being able to say we did it.
But what makes us actually want to come back? What makes us look forward to being there, not just being done?
What if gathering around Jesus became something you looked forward to? What if your kids asked when you were going back? What if you left with something that stayed with you beyond, “We made it to church”?
That’s the kind of weekly gathering I want to build.
Lunch together. Soup and bread. A place at the table. A leader bringing a short, meaningful message rooted in Jesus, His love, and the salvation He offers—with room to explore how that connects to the lives we’re actually living.
Because the stories of Jesus have something to say about our grief, our relationships, our questions, our second chances, and how we get through an ordinary Tuesday.
You can talk. You can ask questions. You can simply eat and listen. Sharing will always be invited, never required. You don’t have to know your Bible, have the right words, or tell a room full of people your story. There’s room for you whether faith is familiar, brand-new, or something you’re finding your way back to.
My hope is that you leave feeling connected, with something meaningful to carry into your week—and a reason to want to come back.
We’re shaping this around real lives, and I’d love your input. For a weekly Sunday gathering with lunch provided, which hour would work best for you and your family?
