Todays Topic : The glowing skin you think you see, is not always real.

This man gave himself a TCA peel of the highest level, and all thru his comments people think he’s proven the professionals wrong, but the truth is spread thru his page.
For the damage that was done, his barrier looks great right now. The issue he was trying to fix (hyperpigmentation)? WORSE.
Furthermore, he has a consistent routine and guidance, where most people wanting to try what he’s done, aren’t even habitual about spf, the MOST IMPORTANT part of post peel aftercare.
i hope more people see the truth and see this as a cautionary tale, over a sign to follow suit&diy a TCA peel themselves.

Can facials cause a bacterial infection???

So sorry this happened to this girlie!!! BUT, we have to be realistic here.
There are a MULTITUDE of things that can cause a bacterial infection post facial. Things like over exfoliation during or post facial, dirty towels / gloves / sheets during or after facial.
The result and or chaos of a facial dont end at the end of the facial. Bacteria can be introduced, causing a reaction, 3hrs post facial and longer. There is no 100% proven fact this came from the esthetician, or the clients aftercare.
And yet, if proper sanitization was not performed, if aftercare protocol was not given, if the client didnt follow the guidance of the aftercare, it can still fall back on us as esthetician, as shown in the video.
I hope this doesnt discourage anyone from receiving treatment they need from estheticians, but also, that it makes estheticians more diligent about sanitization& informing clients, so as to prevent things like this from happening.
And shame on the dermatologist for blaming the esthetician when it cannot be proven the exact cause of this issue! derms&estys should be working TOGETHER not causing mistrust between these linked professions!
