Two weekends in the books for the 2026 season and so far all the hard work in the off-season has paid off. The team led their first laps in a w604 sprint car by leading laps in both the heat race and the feature. Ended up 2nd in our heat and 4th in the feature from may 16th. Next race is June 13th hope to see everyone there! Thank you to our track photographers for the awesome photos!

Last race of the season for team k9 went extremely uneventful but got more much needed laps on the car, 9th place out of 11 cars in the feature. very excited for next year!

Wilmot 8/30, overall another good night of learning in the new car. Qualified 10th with another personal best lap, went 5th to 2nd in the heat after avoiding a crash in the first corner. In the feature we started 7th and had to avoid a few crashes again. Was up to 4th and had the car rolling pretty good then a caution came out around half way and after that the car was not the same and just hung on for a 6th place finish. But we are making progress in the right direction and the new class has been a lot of fun so far!

Quick recap of Saturday august 23rd at Wilmot. Improved again on qualifying and went 6th quick. Went 2nd to 4th in our heat. Was supposed to start 3rd in the feature but while lining up the car died and we didn’t get to run the feature. Turns out the battery lost enough voltage that it couldn’t properly power the distributor. A lesson learned, we continue to show a little more speed each week and look forward to seeing everyone Saturday the 30th!

Fair night 8/13
Overall a really fun night of racing! Worked on a better qualifying setup and it worked. 11th out of 14 but only a few tenths off of quick time which was a huge improvement from the first week. The heat started and finished 6th and started 11th and finished 12th in the feature, the results aren’t what we are looking for but that will come with more time working on a setup that works for me and the car! Overall it’s been a ton of fun and can’t wait to do it again on the 23rd!
