Subject: RETIREE'S NOTICE OF CHANGE IN MEETING LOCATION
LOCAL 122 RETIREE'S CHAPTER
August 5, 2014
SUBJECT: New Location for Chapter Meeting
The officers of Local 122 Retiree Chapter would like to advise the members that we have rented a new location for holding our meetings during the months of March, September and December. It is the church hall at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The address is 342 Chillicothe Road, Aurora OH 44202. Chillicothe Road is actually Route 43. Directions from Twinsburg are: take route 82 into Aurora, at the traffic light at the intersection of routes 82 and 43 take a right turn onto route 43. Follow route 43 and the church is on the right hand side. It has a large parking lot. Enter the hall and not the church entrance.
The reason we had to find a different hall was that the parking at the hall we rented before was not acceptable. Some people had to park on the grass which presented a problem in bad weather.
We tried to find a location that is between Akron and Cleveland. We tried many rentals some wanted as much as $2,000 to rent.
The meeting will be on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 11:00 am. It will take
place at the new location in Aurora. Brother Joe Guarino is having a guest
speaker, Colleen Allen, who is from International Union of the UAW. She has
spoken at our meeting before and she will be discussing matters of importance
for retirees.
All member should remember that this is an election year. This meeting is before the elections in November. We must elect candidates that are friends of Unions. There are too many candidates on the ballots who want to see an end of unions. These candidates have said "unions are too powerful and have pensions that are bankrupting Companies". They are telling the American people "you don't have a pension why should these union members have one". They don't tell them that we fought and gave up wages for our pensions and we are not about to give up any benefits because some politician wants to see an end to trade unions!!!!
See you at the September meeting.
