Join Grady at SUBOVERLAND for a test drive as he heads from Twin Falls, Idaho, towards the Boise area. He's got a packed schedule with stops in Boise, Caldwell, and Payette.

Experiencing ABS, brake, and StabiliTrak warnings? It might be as simple as an unplugged ABS module. We dive into the diagnostic codes and uncover more than just electrical issues, including a significant exhaust leak. Let's get this fixed!

Check out this third vehicle build, a hard-to-find 2011 Chevy Suburban 3/4 ton. These are quite rare and make for incredible overland setups.

This '05 Chevy Suburban, with 200,000 miles and a past life as a mobile mechanic's workhorse, is ready for a transformation. The interior needs a complete overhaul, but the solid frame and family history make it a worthy project.

Going into a used gear purchase is always a gamble. You do your best with due diligence and ask all the questions, but you never truly know what you're getting into. Let's see what happens.

That little engine tick when it's cold? It's been happening since 55,000 miles and actually quiets down once it warms up. Turns out, it's a common thing for this model. Interesting!

This engine rebuild involved a new windshield, shot tires, and a persistent engine knock. We used a good lower end from another block, rebuilt heads, and installed all new lower end bearings. Roller lifters felt good, so they stayed.

This Suburban came in with a knocking engine, but a rebuild brought it back to life. Now it's ready for its camper conversion, featuring a tan interior and some minor cosmetic fixes needed.

After working on nearly 300 Suburbans, this 8.1 is a solid find. Drivetrain is strong, but it needs some paint, interior refresh, and likely new tires. We'll check for codes, but it sounds like nothing major. ABS module and speed sensor might need attention, a common issue.

Just picked up this 2011 overland rig! Previous owner had it for 8 years and barely towed with it. Kids moved out, so he didn't need it anymore. Cosmetically it needs some work, and I'll have to fix the ABS module, but the engine, transmission, and drivetrain are super solid.
