Hey everyone!

First, I wanted to apologize for not being able to stick around till the end last Saturday. But I knew I could do that and y'all would take care of business! Thank you for posting pictures and sharing the event as you always have.

Next, let's talk about this July 4th Cruise and cookout.

I still have a few things that I am trying to confirm, but I can say that Ballard Park has welcomed us with open arms to have our cookout and meet at the Cliff Gokin Road entrance to the baseball fields at the conclusion of our cruise. All they ask is that we take care of the trash and that we handle ourselves as we always do. No burnouts and excessive revving, etc.

CRUISE INFORMATION:

Trip Distance: 100 Miles - Trip Time: Approximately 2 hours

Meeting at Just Love Coffee Cafe - Tupelo MS at 7:30. We will have a short meeting about 8:20 to go over a few things and head out promptly at 8:30.

We will head North on Gloster and stop at the Natchez Trace Visitor Center. Once we have all regrouped, we will head north on the trace to HWY 30 towards Booneville.

We will then take 30 West to 45 South and head back to Tupelo.

Next, we will get on Mcullough Blvd 178 and get back on the Trace South to the Cliff Gookin Exit and an immediate turn into the Sportsplex parking lot.

I have had the thought of taking the trace to 25 and slow rolling through Tishomingo, but I need to confirm with local officials to see if they have a parade going on.

COOKOUT INFORMATION:

We will have Burgers and Hotdogs with all the fixings and soft drinks/water as well as paper products.

Feel free to bring a canopy and chairs if you like. We all know how MS. in July can be.

I would also like to couple this event with our yearly donation and supply drive for the Tupelo-Lee Humane Society, so we will be accepting those donations at the cookout. Please visit their website for a list of items they are always in need of, which includes items like food, bleach, beds, toys, etc.

I will share this as an event, so please mark yourself as going if you are planning on attending, so I can budget for food!

While we gear up for our monthly meet this Saturday from 730 to 1030 am at Just Love Coffee Cafe - Tupelo MS , I am guaging interested in a July 4th cruise and cookout.

My thoughts are a morning cruise from just love, up the trace to 30 to Bonneville and down 145 back to Tupelo ending !t either Veterans park or Ballard park where we would have bugers and hotdogs.

If I could get everyone who is interested to sound off on this post to see if this is something anyone would be interested in, please do. Again, this will be for July 4th!

When you're in St. Louis and walk outside your hotel and see this, you ask questions. A 100th anniversary cruise on rt 66 with a Mercedes SLS group.

Please park in the green areas only in the outback lot! Red areas are off limits. Try to enter it the lot next to just loves entrance.

Hey everyone! So much has happened since our last meet. Just to recap, Brent, the owner of Just Love Coffe Cafe passed away 3 weeks ago. This shook me terribly and his team is still working through the emotions and business process.

In the near term, we are planning to continue a normal with a few caveats.

Those who were in attendance last month were witness to our largest gathering in the three year we have had this going. Over 90 cars packed the entire parking lot area of Outback. It was a sight to behold for sure!

But with that great success comes a little but of change as outback has requested that we modify our times and allowable parking area. The general manager is very happy with our success and impressed upon me that our crowd is always respectful of the property. However employees need there spots to park and they have a requirement to open the doors at 1045 and having a full lot is a turn off to their potential customers. I completely understand that issue.

So what does this mean?

We will be modifying our meeting hours to 730 to 1030 and the 1030 is a hard cap.

We will be marking off parking areas that will be off limits. This will include the rear of the outback building and half of the pickup door side as well ( the side closest to Texas roadhouse). Please utilize the far back auxiliary lot if available.

For entrance into the event, use the entrance nearest just love coffee if possible.

When leaving, we recommend exiting behind outback and texas roadhouse to get access to the light at La vino wine and spirits.

We hope that with these changes and the cooperation of our coffee and lot hosts, that we will be able to continue our gatherings we love!

PLEASE NOTE: I HAVE CHANGED THE MEET DATES TO THE 3RD SATURDAY OF THE MONTH!

This is so we are not up against the Blue Suede Cruise (April 30th- May 2nd), Easter, July 4th, and Labor Day holidays.
It also keeps the 2nd Saturday open for our friends to the north with Crossroads Cars and Coffee, which we will work on reciprocating cruises so our groups can get to know each other and enjoy their respective locations!

Brent will be sorely missed. I spoke with Stormy from Just Love Coffee Cafe - Tupelo MS today and the team could really use our thoughts and prayers. Brent was more than a boss to them. He encouraged them to be the best versions of themselves and gave them opportunities to thrive.

For those able to make it, join me Thursday at 2pm at holland funeral home to celebrate his life.
