Wiring issues? No problem.

Classic electrical systems can be tricky—especially when a routine ignition swap doesn't go quite according to plan.

This Ford Galaxy came to us with mixed-up ignition wiring, but with decades of experience working on vintage steel, our team pinpointed the issue and had it re-wired in no time.

To top it off, we upgraded it with a new electric fuel pump for reliable fueling every time the key turns.

Trust your classic with the team that knows them inside and out.

Diagnosis Day: The "No Start" OBS

The customer had just finished installing a shiny new Holley HyperSpark distributor and ignition box. While it's an awesome setup, there was one major catch: it is not compatible with the truck's original factory TBI (Throttle Body Injection) system. Without a Holley ECU running the show, they just don't speak the same language.

Sometimes, you've gotta take a step back to go forward. To get him back on the road, we:

•Pulled the HyperSpark setup

•Slapped in a fresh OEM distributor and coil

•Dialed in the timing

And away he goes! Fired right up.

We’re sending this one home running strong for now, but this isn't the end of the road for this truck. We’ll be revisiting this project down the line for a full Holley Sniper 2 EFI installation once the customer is ready to make the full jump.

Got a project that's giving you headaches? Bring it by—we'll get it sorted.

Bringing some classic iron back to life!

This '38 Chevy rolled into the shop for some miscellaneous issues, but we dug right in and sorted it out.

First up: a fresh starter to get things moving. Found out the main engine ground was completely missing, so we fabricated a new one and got it turning over nice and smooth.

It was also suffering from some long cranking times. The culprit? The ignition coil wire wasn’t hooked up to a positive-while-cranking source. We got that wired up correctly, and now she fires right up.

To wrap it up, we cleaned up and rewired some faulty gauge circuits so the owner can cruise with absolute confidence and accurate readings.

Another classic saved and ready for the road!

Throwing it back to 1976 out on the water!

One of our customers had this classic boat ready for summer action, but she was being a real pain to get started. They brought it into the shop to see if we could work some magic—and let’s just say, if it’s got a carburetor, we will make it run.

We tore the carb completely down, gave it a deep cleaning, and threw in all-new gaskets. Now? One pull and this sucker is purring like a kitten!

We also had to tackle a "no reverse" issue—and whew, that makes unloading a real chore! But we got everything dialed in and all gears are officially good to go.

Whether it's on the blacktop or the water, don't hesitate to call Hillbilly Hot Rodz for any of your mechanical needs!

We love taking care of our repeat customers! This beautiful Falcon made its way back into the shop for some much-needed performance cooling modifications. Sitting in traffic and slow cruising had this sucker running way too hot.

We teamed up with Champion Cooling Products to fix that. We ditched the stock brass unit and upgraded to:

• An all-black aluminum radiator (rated for 300HP)

• A new high-performance fan

• A custom fan shroud for maximum airflow

Now, she’s running nice and cool and is officially ready to handle those brutal summer days!

Looking to keep your classic cool this season? Drop by the shop or send us a DM to get on the schedule!
