I'm posting this because everyone is okay. The driver of the car has a few more surgeries ahead. Her family is so thankful. (no one is in the vehicles when this was taken)

People flip us off for coming down this mountain 15mph when we weigh 100,000 pounds plus. People pass us on double lines and yell horrible things. We have had people call 911 and tell them we are driving recklessly.

This is because air brakes cannot be "ridden". Use them when you need them. Overuse them and lose them. This mountain is 17 miles of DOWN. Gravity pulling you. We strive at safety and do not play around with this mountain.

Drivers are not aware of the danger of our mountain. Drivers do not pay attention to the signs and the regulations of this mountain. Then this happens. I am still angry that this happened when it could have been prevented.

We clean up these messes. We tow down those that lose their brakes. We dont have a choice to go the other way most of the time.

So next time you see us coming down and making you late for your coffee, remember we are being safe.
