This 1936 Ford has a special history with our shop.

The cab was painted here at Smallenbarger Auto Restoration over 20 years ago for one of our customers. After his passing, his son brought the truck back to us to continue what his father started.

This time around, we painted and assembled the truck bed, bringing the project one step closer to completion and getting this 1936 Ford ready to head home.

It’s always special when a project finds its way back into our shop years later—especially one with a story like this.

It’s always cool when a familiar project makes its way back into the shop!

We originally painted the cab of this 1936 Ford over 20 years ago. Recently, the owner’s son brought it back to us to paint and assemble the truck bed.

After hours of buffing and polishing, this 1977 Cutlass is shining like a mirror. The black metallic comes alive in the light, while the ghost rally stripes add just the right touch without overpowering the classic look.

Now it’s onto final assembly, and before long this beauty will be back on the road where it belongs.

Shop question of the day: What sound does a buffer make? 🤔😂

The answers were entertaining, but we’ve come to the conclusion that we’re much better at restoring cars than making sound effects!
