This 69 GTO was unexpectedly one of the more intricate header jobs I have done. A total of 4, 2” exhaust donuts were needed to make sure that oil filter and starter access were possible. 2” primary’s to a 3” collector with a full 3” stainless system, finished off with Spintech 3000 series mufflers. And classic Pontiac style dual outlets on each side. All run through a Roadster Shop chassis.

The Wagon is finished and headed home. Destined for some local small tire racing, along with some drag a drive action. We put together a fabricated 9” Ford housing with Smith Racecraft Assassin bars and 1” lowering perches. DSE mini tub’s, Afco Racing canister shocks and Caltrac split mono leaf springs with a Funkhouser race cars mount kit. This 67 Fairlane with a 500” BBF came in for a set of headers and exhaust. Anyone that has built headers in these early Fords with an FE engine feels the pain 😅. Last two pictures are for reference on how tight the shock tower and cylinder head are. Yes, the new headers are on Lol! I had seen the Roadster Shop first gen Camaro chassis in photos on line but not in person. When Lynn called us and asked if we could build an exhaust system for his, I was excited to see it in person. It’s a nice piece for sure but a challenge to put exhaust under 😅.
