Finally drove by 21999 W. 9 mile Rd. What used to be Plum Hollow Market? Funny thing? It's not there anymore? Worked there for 20 years off and on, more on then off lol! The Great Grandson and Grand Daughter 4th generation was running it when I left some years ago! All those Memories watching them grow as children to get old enough to take over the operations of running a Historical Full Service Grocery Store! Plum Hollow was the Store to go get the best Meat 🍖 in town! Big enough to serve you and small enough to care and to know your name when you came in! Full Service Meat Dept. Fresh Produce, Home Made Bread and Bakery, BBQ Chicken Ribs, Hot Soup, Subs, Steak Sandwiches, Roast your Turkey,Sea Food, Prime Rib Roast ect..... They had a longer menu then any restaurant around! Walk in there Hungry? Leave Happy Many Celebrities Shopped there! Tommy "The Hitman" Hearns, Doris Bisco, Al Allen, Vinnie "The Microwave" Johnson, Jason Carr, many Detroit Red Wings who were members of Plum Hollow Golf Course across the street. All Gone up in Flames! 🔥 Plum Hollow Market Burned down several years ago! I started working there in October of 1987 my boss was Bill Palarchio ran the Meat Department the Italian Stallion straightened my then young Ass out! He will be 99 years old this September! Can't even believe it! If I could turn back time? Don't we all wish that when something as Great as Plum Hollow Market was goes away Forever! Hate Big Box stores!
