❤️ LET’S TALK ABOUT KEEPING TROUTMAN’S KIDS SAFE
As Troutman continues to grow, so does the traffic around our schools, neighborhoods, and downtown. We’ve seen the conversations happening in our community about pedestrian safety, and this is one issue that is deeply personal to the Madd Monkey Garage family.
Jimmy Amico lost his 10-year-old son, Jarrid, after he was struck by a vehicle in New York. Following Jarrid’s death, Jimmy became an advocate for traffic and pedestrian safety in his community, fighting for changes that could help prevent another family from experiencing the same devastating loss.
Now he would like to take that experience and do something positive with it here in the community Madd Monkey calls home.
We would like to begin a conversation about creating a local child pedestrian and traffic safety initiative, with particular attention to the areas surrounding our schools and the children who walk to and from them.
We already have some ideas we’ve been working on, but we don’t want this to be about one business deciding what Troutman needs.
We want to hear from you 📣
Parents, teachers, school administrators, law enforcement, first responders, town leaders, local businesses and community organizations: What are you seeing? Where are the problem areas? What would make the biggest difference?
