Getting amped to have our client’s Charger back on the road. All builds come with some level of sorting afterward. We stand behind our craftsmanship and sometimes that even means we stand behind the parts we install even if the manufacturer won’t. I could argue with them but it falls on deaf ears and the client doesn’t win. We’re a different breed here in the shop…

This weekend took me up to Manistique, MI in the UP to drop off a client’s 1974 Nova. This was his first car, purchased on November 22, 1986. 40 years later it’s roadworthy again. We pulled the engine, refinished and resealed the mechanicals, replaced the headliner with OEM materials sourced from SMS Auto Fabrics, and Rudy Torres gave it the final polish. Our Client is a collector of low mileage cars and Cadillacs, AND the owner of the Colonial Motel a 1950s roadside stop for the weary traveler. This car is still VERY original and very well kept. Thanks for the opportunity, Mike!

The Gilmore Car museum had a good Cadillac meet. I felt appreciated that I was there to support the show. Walking through the museum was a highlight seeing all the newer club museums built as dealerships. The Franklin Museum took me back to working on a 1928 12B in McPherson College Restoration and the Early Ford museum had some really neat features. A must-stop if you have the time. The Museum was founded in the 80’s, one of the founders Bob Turnquist, is a former employer of mine. Seeing his name on the walls and a gallery specifically for him was special.

All set up at Gilmore Car Museum for the Cadillac Fall Meet…. You might ask why did you bring a Lincoln!? Well Henry Leland founded Cadillac in 1902 and later left Cadillac and started Lincoln in 1917. This car is in process at our shop and shows the level of work our clients are guaranteed.

Verno Paints stayed late to get this Appletree Green on the 1968 MGB. This thing slicked out beautiful. Nice Job and enjoy your birthday weekend!

Saturday was a nice morning to take a drive up to Classic Instruments annual open house. A great team of people greeted visitors and raised money for their local PD. It’s amazing to have an industry leader so close to home.

The shop has some momentum right now! This 36 Buick restomod left today. We installed the headliner and made the carpets. The client is taking it home to finish the rest. He did most of the work with help from a few friends, we’re just happy to lend a hand and get him on the road
