Shew! Any chance one of y'all can take Kansas out of the air fryer? Another week and hopefully we can cool back down.
Thanks to all the students that endured the rough temps last weekend for yet another BRC training weekend. Congratulations to these folks pictured below for safely completing the weekend!
We are now at Labor Day weekend and there are just a handful more classes to go for the season. If you are headed out riding for the weekend, please hydrate well and be safe!

It is a beautiful late summer Saturday for some motorcycle education. We are all set up on our new training site at Shawnee Heights Elementary at 2410 SE Burton. Thank you to all for your patience during the transition.
Classes for the remainder of the season are filling up quick. We are now scheduling for October with 4-5 classes remaining for the year. Registration link is in the comments. Please share with any friends or family that would like to get their M endorsement yet in 2026.

CHANGE TO TRAINING LOCATION!

With the recent start of construction at the previous training location, we have moved the remainder of 2026 classes to the Shawnee Heights Elementary School located at 2410 SE Burton St, Topeka, KS 66605. https://maps.app.goo.gl/qLiraC9SgCkJFfVL9

This change takes effect as of today, July 1, 2026. All registrations and confirmations from this point forward should reflect this change.

The best way to get to the new location is turning East off of SE Croco Rd onto SE Howard Dr and then North on Burton St.

We look forward to seeing you at the new training location!

Elementary school

Man, I have been lax in keeping the FB world in the loop recently. I wish I could say it was because I was out riding instead, but that just hasn't been in my cards lately. I do however hope that those of you that have your endorsement have been able to get some wind therapy recently.
Below are a couple of pics from out last 2 classes. We have quite and age, size and ability range that come through each class and somehow manage a 90+% average pass rate. Kudos to our Rider Coaches for the fantastic job they do in administering the program.

We did just list a few more classes along with having 1 open spot in this weekend's class. If you have been waiting for an opportunity to get your endorsement, now is the time to get registered.
In July we will be changing up the location of our course from the SHMS to make room for their new gym construction. Final details are being worked out and we will get those posted by early July.

Oh man! Rider Coach Rick was excited to see the forecast for today and sent these glorious pics of his early morning unload at Shawnee Heights Middle School.
He and Coach Todd have another full range day on tap for their BRC students. Best of luck to each student on successful completion!

If you are currently reading this, I'd like to take a moment to welcome you to May, also known as Motorcycle Awareness Month.
Here are some quick stats on the start to the SMART 2026 training season.
-We have had 3-classes so far this year with the 4th kicking off tonight.
-We have sent 3 new Rider Coaches through RCP to start teaching class in the coming weeks.
-We have seen 31 total students take their own personal motorcycle awareness seriously and successfully complete the course.
-We have graduates as young as 66 and as old as 17 in just these first few weeks.
Classes for May are already sold out with just a few more spots available for June training. Don't you think you, your loved one, or friend should take personal motorcycle awareness a bit more serious and become a licensed rider?
If you don't think it is for you, you might be right, but the smiles on these below graduates faces say they are happy to have their M endorsement. Link to register is in the first comment. Stay safe!

And just like that, our first batch of SMART riders are off and riding for the season. But it certainly wasn't easy for them. They had a little bit of rain both days. Fortunately at the end of the day Sunday most of the students and even a coach were still able to muster a smile. Thanks a ton folks for trusting SMART with your rider education.

WOW! You all are amazing! In just 3-weeks time you have managed to fill up all but 2-spots in our first 4-classes of the season. That is right, only 2-spots left for May1-3 class.
Who will the last 2 be to fill the class? With as nice as this weather has been, you don't want to be sitting around waiting to get that M endorsement much past Mother's day.
