Wow. It's hard to believe that it's been six months since the robbery at the shop. My entire life got disrupted. Nothing is the same as it was before then, and nothing ever will be the same again. It amazes me how much I've learned and grown as a human being since then. I look at myself in this interview and barely recognize myself. Life has been rough, to be sure, but we all face adversity and hardship. I have finally begun to feel the effects of the healing process. I am not at peace with what happened, but I HAVE been learning to put it behind me.

Spug's Auto Repair was burglarized Sunday night -- leaving John Spugnardi with physical losses and damages totaling more than $80,000.

Well, it's been a long, rocky road since the robbery, but we are finally starting to get ahead. I'd like to thank all of our Friends out there who made this possible by bringing in their vehicles to be worked on. I've always been a prideful person, never wanting to ask for help. I appreciate you guys bringing in your cars and allowing us to work for what we get. There is a sense of accomplishment that can only be earned by working for what you receive, and this is what I have always been interested in attaining. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart. To all of our Friends, Family and loyal Clientelle, we will be moving two blocks north of our current shop at the beginning of next month to 1209 N. Kansas Avenue. We are expanding and have become too big for the building we've been using. We will now have the ability to house up to a hundred vehicles at a time if necessary, inside a ten foot chain-link fenced area. The new shop has four times the inside area, so no more having to work in inclement weather when the shop is full, lol. We thank all of our loyal Clientelle for making this possible. We look forward to a prosperous New Year!

Make sure to check your a/c systems, guys! Here's what can happen when an a/c clutch fries. Not only is it necessary to install a new clutch, but also both idler pulleys, the belt and we had to clean up the Crankshaft, Alternator and Power Steering Pump pulleys!
