Today marks 30 days on the Little Giant fire near Leavenworth, Wa! So far we have been tasked with fixing a road, opening an escape route, making pads/level areas for the Albach chipper and dump trucks, shoveling slash to him that he cannot reach and cleaning up the messes when it’s all said and done!

Working the roads for the 3 Queens Fire as we watched the fire begin to grow again. 🔥

With all the dry timber and heavy undergrowth, this one is sure to burn for a while. Conditions are incredibly dry, and it doesn’t take much for a fire to gain momentum.

Long days, heavy equipment, dusty roads, and keeping a close eye on that horizon.

Why are we paying taxes to hire resources two states away to show up and sit while local Dozers and others are not being paid but doing the work to help save our neighbors?
We do have a current VIPR contract and we have offered this Dozer several times and not once has it been called out.
