❤️ What Is the Third and Survey Community Fund?
At its heart, the Third and Survey Community Fund is about something simple. Neighbors helping neighbors. Tombstone supporting Tombstone.
We are an informal, grassroots community initiative made up of local citizens who care deeply about Tombstone and its residents. Together, we voluntarily pool resources to provide assistance and support for community needs.
Our purpose is community assistance.
❤️ The Fund is intended to support direct community needs in and around Tombstone. Over time, assistance may include:
🧸 Children's Christmas gifts, winter coats, shoes, and school supplies for local children
🐾 Donations and support for the Tombstone Small Animal Shelter
🍎 Holiday meal assistance and other essential household needs
🏠 Essential home furnishings for families experiencing hardship
🚗 Emergency vehicle repairs when transportation is necessary for everyday needs
🪖 Complimentary stays for military veterans through our community hosting activities
❤️ Other community assistance approved under the Fund's operating guidelines
Every situation is different, and our goal is to use available resources where they can make a meaningful difference.
👥 Fund expenditures are reviewed by designated organizers, and no expenditure is authorized without the required agreement of an accountability panel. The organizers maintain records of contributions received and expenditures made from the Fund.
🔎 We believe that community fundraising should always be handled honestly and transparently.
A copy of our Informal Fundraising Agreement and Disclosure is also available upon request. The Third and Survey Community Fund is an informal community initiative and is not being presented as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and contributions should not be described as tax-deductible charitable donations.
Nothing associated with the Fund is intended to provide legal, tax, or accounting advice. Anyone considering making a contribution should seek independent professional advice regarding their own circumstances.
We are grateful for every person who has helped us make a positive difference in our community—whether through a contribution, a donation of goods, volunteering, sharing information, or simply helping a neighbor in need.
