People this is the current and best information that will educate you as to why when you go on a used car lot and ask what they have for $1,000 to $2,000, which by the way happens multiple times a week at my dealership, it is almost impossible for me to even comprehend providing you with a safe reliable piece of transportation at that price. In many instances I can almost scrap a car out pulling a good set of tires the good battery and a few parts off of it and return more money than what people are looking to pay for a vehicle. We've been in this business long enough, 63 years, that I remember the decent running $50 car that moved to $100 and then $500 and then $1,000. Those days are long long gone and are never going to return. It is getting more and more difficult for me to even hit the $5,000 entry level and provide somebody a decent piece of transportation that doesn't have a quarter of a million miles on it. Watch this video it explains quite a bit of what's going on in the used car market.
