That feeling when your car is running better than you realized. Silky smooth. Barely touch the gas and you're above the speed limit.
That's nice feeling for sure.

The other feeling when someone pulls right in front of you and your Brakes you're quickly bring you to a halt. You were bracing for impact. For sure.
Absolutely about to smash into the guy.
But the brakes do their job.
ABS clicking and popping little bit of Tire chirp. And you have about 10 ft to spare.

Another one bites the dust
Modern engines do not like it when you skip oil change. Even once or twice.
Even a little bit.

An oil change. You might lose a few hours or even a day if you drop it off.

An engine replacement, most of the time not less than 7 days. Sometimes you're out of commission for 2 months. Availability? Pricing a lot of factors.

Very avoidable
It's extremely rare to replace an engine that was well maintained.

It is very common to replace an engine that was not maintained.

Not pointing fingers not casting blame, we like the business and we will fix whatever you want us to fix.

Just sharing valuable information. Do it what you will.

Pretty silly but this really impressed me.
Talk about being right on time!
What's more is this vehicle has not consumed any oil. I drain the same amount I just added. It runs excellent. Runs just like a brand new engine. Approaching a quarter million miles.

Most of the time if I make the sticker for 4k mi, they show up for an oil change with an extra 6k mi on top of it.
Many people say you don't have to change oil anymore. These cars are made better. You can go 10k on a oil change....
Meanwhile, every shop everywhere is stacked to the brim with engine replacements (of course everyone blames the manufacturers for not building them like they used to).

Crazy.

You don't have to change the oil anymore, manufacturers are very advanced.

These cars aren't built like they used to. They're all junk. Throw away.

Mechanics are just trying to scam you. You don't have to change your oil.

My favorite part is when the exact same person who says you don't have to change your oil is the very same person blaming the manufacturer on why they're camshaft fell apart. Or their lifters failed.
Or their timing chain wore out.

Maybe it's a fact they build them better than they used to.
Maybe it's a fact they build them crappier than they use to

Only thing I know for sure is that new oil works better than old oil.
And oil is the lifeblood of your engine.

Can't imagine trying to see how far I can go on an oil change!

Let me be the first to admit that I do not run my business the way some people think these businesses should be ran.
I'm well aware of that.
For one, I believe that for this to succeed we need to count on loyal customers.
All of your car problems you think of us first.
**This means scheduling is not by the day or the hour, it's by the job which sometimes is by the week.
So for those loyal customers who are very patient, thank you thank you.
Your problem might be a small one this time, but her problem was a big one.
You can't schedule around that.

The other thing I want to thank everyone for being understanding is pricing. It's impossible to set pricing the way some people think it should be. While I'm saying thank you, I also have a take it or leave it mindset. It's not a choice.
The prices are what it costs for us to get paid and do the job. We're not getting rich
We're getting what we deserve for doing what we do. Thank you again

Just putting a general appreciated Super Thank you out there letting people know that we really enjoy the short visits.

And while I'm saying thank you, I fully understand how insanely frustrating it is. When in the middle of everything your car starts acting up. You don't know how much it's going to cost. You have no clue.
The vast majority of you keep a certain amount of dignity and composure. It's incredible. It's definitely not easy to deal with unexpected car problems, but when we have our short visits most of you are Very Cool to be around. Again thank you.
